1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ravelry! Extra invites... on: August 01, 2007 08:20:30 AM
I got my invite a few weeks ago, and it is amazing.  I am basically only on craftster when I want to look at non knitting projects.  To reiterate what others have said, if you haven't already, get a flickr account and start taking pictures of your stash, FO's, and WIP's.  You will be glad you did when you get in.  I am brightlights on ravelry too if anyone wants a friend!

All finished!  I need to block it tonight.  I love it so far though!

That looks amazing!  I hadn't thought of wearing it like that.  I am finishing mine tonight for sure.  You have inspired me Smiley

That looks awesome.  It definitely gives it a different look in a non fuzzy yarn, the lace pattern really stands out.

I am on the 11th repeat and am looking forward to the finishing.  I am worried about binding off nicely, I am always too loose or too tight.  And I am trying to figure out how many buttons I want to put on and if I want them on both ends or just one.  Do you guys know what you're going to be doing?

I am done 7 repeats and I bought my buttons today so I thought I'd show off a bit Smiley

That looks awesome.  I really like the light colours for this more than the dark one in the pattern.  I think I stopped in the exact same place last night, almost done the 5th repeat. Smiley

OK this picture sucks, but I thought I'd show it off anyway.  The yarn I'm using is Alessandra Filato Super Kid Seta, in pale blue.
I have a lot more done than in this picture, I am finishing the 4th repeat now.  I am addicted to this, hopefully I can keep it going at this rate.

I saw this yesterday afternoon, went to the LYS after work, and finished the first 2 repeats of the pattern last night.
Anyone else going to be knitting this?

I was going to buy Kidsilk Haze but they only had darker colours and I wanted something pale so I wound up getting a different yarn, I can't remember the brand right now, but it looks exactly the same as KSH, in a pale blue.
Join me please, I need someone to help motivate me  Smiley

Wisp.  I must have it.  I am fighting the urge to go to my LYS after work for some KSH because I am expecting the yarn for 3 new projects in the mail this week.  hmmm, what to do.
10  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Knit & Tonic's Flair anyone? on: April 17, 2007 08:27:25 AM
I made this, and it is in the frogging pile.  You are right about the buttons being too close, I would space them out a bit more, and be aware that you may have to do more the 5 buttons.  I followed the pattern and wound up with a really, really short sweater.  I could tell it was going to be too short but I didn't trust my judgement and bound off.  I could start over or rip back a bit, but I've decided that this style won't suit me anyway.  Good luck.
