1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Skyrim Dragon Logo Cross Stitch by stitchFIGHT on: July 03, 2012 08:31:40 AM

I made this using 7 shades of grey on 18-count black aida. It took me a few days to complete. I didn't feel like using a hoop because this was just a small project for fun, but it definitely shows.

It was a nice piece to stitch while taking a break from a bigger piece, which is being stitched using a frame (so a lot neater).

You can also tell I didn't spent a lot of time on it by looking at the back Smiley I still like it though, and I hope you do as well!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Dark Shadows Cross Stitch: Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins on: May 17, 2012 12:33:48 AM

Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins from the new Tim Burton movie "Dark Shadows".
75x110 stitches on 18-count black aida. 20 colors used.

The back.

The original Wink
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / FREE THE INTERNET! Atari Teenage Riot Cross Stitch by stitchFIGHT on: March 31, 2012 12:47:37 PM

Based on a t-shirt from the band Atari Teenage Riot which I love but hardly wear because it's a men's size.
The hardest thing was getting the pattern just right, I wanted to keep the spacing between the letters of each line the same. Another difficulty was keeping the stitches as white as possible, which meant washing my hands all the time and using a frame instead of a hoop Wink

+-6500 white and some silver stitches on 18-count black aida.

A couple of detail shots.

In it's natural habitat Smiley
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / I Phone, You Tube! Cross Stitch Hoop by stitchFIGHT on: February 29, 2012 02:21:39 AM

I stitched this for Homerof2 as a replacement hoop in the Pinterest swap. The original design is from Brainless Tales, but I made the pattern myself.
I only had 2 weeks to finish it, so I didn't spent a lot of time on perfecting the pattern which is why I adjusted it as I went along. The backstitching was done freehand as well.
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Kick-Ass Movie Trailer Cross Stitch on: February 06, 2012 04:18:22 AM
Kick-Ass Cross Stitch by stitchFIGHT

I started this cross stitch before the movie of Kick-Ass premiered. It is a screenshot from the trailer which I absolutely loved. It uses 36 DMC colors on 18-count white aida. The letters are glow in the dark (so it reminds me to kick some ass before I go to sleep Tongue).

It was a pain in the ass to finish, because the pattern changes colors ALL THE TIME with all the single stitches it has. I'm super glad I finished it and I hope you like it!

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / The Amazing Spider-Man GITD Cross Stitch on: August 10, 2011 01:25:38 AM

It's the amazing Spider-Man! 2633 stitches on 18-count black aida. I used four different shades of red, and 2 different greys.

The eyes and backstitching are done using Glow-In-The-Dark thread.

This is what it looks like when it's completely dark.

The Back

Unfortunately, it only glows like this for a few seconds before it starts to fade. You can still see it after that, but it's not as cool Wink

I wanted to make another Marvel hero after doing Iron Man in the same style. I've posted pictures of it before in a swap gallery, and you can find them in my Flickr xSTITCH set.

For fun Wink
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Space Invaders - Cross Stitch Animation on: June 27, 2011 04:18:38 AM

I animated my cross stitch! It's not completely stitched, that would take way too long, so yeah for Photoshop! Check out the video which you can either watch on YouTube or Flickr, whichever you prefer Wink
I suggest watching it on YouTube in fullscreen HD though (so you can actually see the stitches Cheesy)

Please PM me if you're interested Cheesy
10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Cross Stitch - Green Dude on: August 04, 2010 06:21:08 AM
I've already stitched the green dude (or Cosmic Cutie) from H2G2 a couple of times, but I've never posted them here. The first one was with the Watchmen Smiley.
The second one was just the green dude, for the first H2G2 swap, and now I stitched him together with Marvin the Paranoid Android (for Round 2 of the H2G2 swap).

Here they are, from NEW to OLD

All on 18-count aida, black.
