71  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / naughty cross stitch (the b-word) on: December 06, 2005 09:26:20 PM
Someone else's post on here gave me this site for free cross stitching fonts. My best friend is a proud bitch just like me, so I made her a bookmark! The other thing is an attempt at an ID holder. All I used was thread, aida cross stitching cloth, felt, and ribbon. Here's the site for the fonts:

72  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Darth Vader needs your help! on: November 20, 2005 08:41:26 PM
Ok, this was my first attempt at embroidery. (Be kind!) I just traced a coloring sheet to an old t-shirt for practice. Well, it came out better than I thought, and now I want to do something with this scrap of cloth!

so the question is...What can I do with this?

I have a 16 year old brother, maybe you guys have an idea of something I can make for him?

I am familiar with many types of crafting, so I'm open to your ideas! Thanks!

73  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Cross stitch, or embroidery? on: November 20, 2005 09:02:13 AM
Hi, this is probably a "duh" question, but I need help!

I love to cross stitch and I've got the hang of it.. I want to start embroidering. What is easier to do? Cross stitch or embroidery? Like, I wish I could find some kind of site that explains how to embroidery. (Without having to buy a book that explains it. Thanks guys!
74  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Prepster ribbon bag on: November 18, 2005 01:21:43 PM
I don't have a sewing machine, so I apologize for the ghetto-rigged nature of this project. I just bought a colored tote bag at Michaels and (poorly) HAND SEWED ribbons on it. I am getting a sewing machine for Christmas however, and I think I could improve upon this idea! What do you guys think?

75  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Christmas goodie card! My first post! (copycatted) on: November 18, 2005 01:15:22 PM
My first post! I got this idea from someone in the Winter Holidays forum.I thought I'd try it out on my own. I don't remember who to give credit to though! On the front it says: "Why snowmen don't drink hot chocolate.." and inside it says, "But you're not a snowman, are you?" And you include a pack of hot chocolate! It's perfect for co-workers or people you can't really spend a lot of money on but want to include them. Hope you guys like it!
