1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Tea Towels on: March 25, 2012 10:42:32 AM
I had been going to my local Dollar Tree, finding plain white tea towels that were great to embroider on. They stopped carrying them. Do you guys know of any chain stores that have tea towels? Where are you finding your tea towels these days?
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Onesie from an Aunt Martha pattern on: March 29, 2010 09:39:13 AM
I stitched this up the night before my friend's baby shower. It's from an Aunt Martha package of alphabets.

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Claddagh wall hanging on: March 21, 2010 08:31:14 AM
I used tinting to do this claddagh wall hanging. I embroidered the pattern on a tea towel, then stretched it around a canvas and stapled with a staple gun, cutting off the excess fabric. Did I mention that using a staple gun is really fun?

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Celtic fleece. on: March 21, 2010 08:28:41 AM
I made the following blanket for plucky in the "Luck of the Irish" swap. I have been buying fleece blankets for cheap at Wal-Mart, and I love this medium! It's something cool to embroider on besides tote bags.

The colors don't photograph well, but I embroidered gold Celtic knots on each corner of the blanket.

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / More Dr. Seuss fun! on: December 22, 2009 12:31:40 PM
My friend hosted a Dr. Seuss birthday party for her 1-year old. I really enjoyed making this Thing 1 and Thing 2 shirt for him. The hair was the most fun because I used variegated thread.

7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Marge's Vineyard on: December 22, 2009 12:29:48 PM
My grandma Margaret loves wine, and we affectionately call her "Marge." I thought I'd give her this for Christmas. It's a modified Aunt Martha pattern. I added the top banner and her name

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish on: December 22, 2009 12:26:10 PM
The picture quality isn't so great, but I wanted to share this embroidered "One Fish Two Fish" shirt I crafted for a swap partner's little boy.

9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cat in the Hat shirt on: December 22, 2009 12:24:53 PM
