Ok, I have a truckload of pictures, but I'm not the greatest photographer right now, as my setup has been taken down temporarily.  So, knittinfiasco, please post pics you took also, that probably do more justice to your lovely handiwork!!!

We opened it as a family...sorry I'm kind of weird about putting my kiddo on the net, so her face will be blurred on all these...

Little Bean reaching into the bag that everything was in, we were under instructions that she get to pick first Smiley

Mr Bean trying on the lovely R2D2 beanie! Smiley  I told him it's for me though Wink

Little shirt for Little Bean, with Padawan on it

Mr Bean's reaction to his very own Jedi Robe?  "That's SO COOL!" Smiley

Here are some more shots of the goods, thanks SO MUCH knittinfiasco!!

Box O Burger King Toys

I pinned this together so we could try to get a better picture of the Jedi Robe

Little Bean's shirt

Totally awesome fabric, and I WILL have a Star Wars skirt from this very soon!

The drawstring bag everything came in

I have received!!  Amanelle also sent me three , but one was for my Little Bean!   Grin  She ADORES it, it doesn't photograph well, but here it is:

It's bright cherry red, and there's a skull and crossbones on it for my little pirate girl Smiley

here are the two for me *grin*

Nice olive green color with a martini glass in it - where did you find this pattern? I LOVE IT I WANT IT I MUST HAVE IT!!!  Wink

A beautiful purpleish color that says Born To Knit!

All three together - this was a beautiful bright package to open!

thank you soooo much Amanelle!  We love them Smiley  Even hubby was suitably impressed Cheesy

5  Re: Need a critique of your Etsy shop? This is the place! in Selling Crafts on Etsy.com by meanbean on: June 05, 2007 07:50:26 AM
Okay everyone - I have several new banners to choose from, would you mind giving me your feedback? Smiley

Banner 1

Banner 2

Banner 3

Thoughts?  Banner 2 nearly exactly matches my business cards, without the contact info, etc.  But, they all appeal to me, so I'm trying to decide which looks better to others! Cheesy

Thanks again for this thread, it's very valuable to us Etsyians!

6  Mother's Day Pouch w/charm in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by meanbean on: May 12, 2007 06:18:54 PM
I whipped up this little pouchy poo for my mom - I've made them for a while to sell, and she's always ooohing and aaaahhing over them...so it's high time she gets her own! Grin

the zipper pull is a pull that was store bought, and the charms changed out...it came with a really cheesy vinyl owl!  The exterior is a suede leather, and the interior is a buttery yellow dupioni silk, both are fabric samples.  Everything on this bag is repurposed...even the zipper is an old dress zipper!

7  Outgrown kid's coat?! Slightly Image Heavy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by meanbean on: May 10, 2007 10:44:13 PM
I couldn't bear to part with my kiddo's leopard print coat even after it was really really small...as in she couldn't get her arms in it anymore.  So...it sat in my stash...whispering to me "cut me baby...do it!"  I never had to guts to hurt her....but she wanted it.  Oh yes...she wanted it bad.   Cheesy  After I cut her, she whispered to me again...this time "tie me up honey...tie me to a tree!"  How could I say no?

Lined with heavy satin material donated to my stash, and the handles are a random thrift store find from about a year ago.

Am I the only one whose craft items tell me what they want to become? Wink

8  Re: A Bag a Month Craftalong? in Craftalongs by meanbean on: May 07, 2007 11:48:21 PM
I've been out for months, but am back in bag making again!  I've been keeping up, and everyone's bags are amazing Smiley  Such creativity on this forum, it's just awesome to try and see everything!

Here's what I finished tonight - a custom bag in 100% hemp, which is soft, but slippery and so doesn't like to keep its shape when being cut!  so, I'm pretty proud this didn't come out all wonky and crappy Smiley

9  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Swap 4!! in The Swap Gallery by meanbean on: May 01, 2007 01:13:00 PM
AuntieM had asked me to take pics for her since she has a heckuva time taking and posting pics Smiley  Soo....  Sorry for the quality, stupid camera phone doesn't take great pics Smiley

Here's the ball in it's wound glory :

Here's what I stuffed in it Smiley  I took these pics before winding, obviously, so the blacked out items are things that didn't make it in.  Fortunately, it was only candy, and my family was gracious enough to ensure it didn't go to waste Wink :

Seed packets, as AuntieM loves gardening, garden related stickers, reese's peices (my FAV), and Hershey's kissables, surprisingly tasty little buggers

Gardening gloves, Cocao reserve, sounded like awesome chocolate to me!, green and yellow tic tacs to match the yarn Smiley

Catnip toy for her kitty Lucille.  Wrapped in plastic so kitty doesn't think the yarn should be attacked too Smiley  Apparently I spilled some catnip in my purse prior to making this...UH OH!!  our kitty literally DOVE into my purse and was trying to eat my Addi Turbos...which apparently smell like catnip Wink LOL

This is the pouch AuntiM's mom tried to pilfer Wink  I couldn't get a good picture of the inside, but here's a nice blurry one so you can see the beautiful orange silk I got to line it with Wink

And these didn't fit in the ball, so they lined the box for her Smiley

I couldn't decide on a pattern, so she got them all!!

The yarn is Fearless Fibers (on Etsy, go see her!!!!!) sock yarn in the Kildare colorway.  I LOVE it.  I have ogled this yarn forever, and couldn't find a good enough project for it.  This probably wouldn't have ended up being art yarn for me, and between the kiddo and the cat, that spells disaster.  So - off to the girl who loves green! Wink

I received!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin

So, here's the goods when I opened the box (which smelled HEAVENLY):
(please excuse the horrid, dark cell phone pics, I need to restock on camera goods to take good pics again):

FAB Patterns:

The fatty bobatty ball of magical yarn:

Fabric, a knitted doll, some gorgeous purple fabric, the ribbon the yarn was wrapped in, and a card that says "do not open until after unwinding":

The card(I did manage to wait...amazingly enough):

The adorable doll (it says "please knit quick! I'm nekkid!" - slightly naughty for a work situation...but everyone was in too much awe for nekkidness to be bad):

so then, I went on lunch so I could unwind it.  there's no way I could have the patience to knit that out.  PLUS it's like, 450 yards of yarn waiting to be dyed, and the dye/koolaid was in the ball.  I had to.

After an hour, here's what I have:

Hehehe...smells so good because there is a hand embriodered lavendar sachet in there.  yummmmmmmy

Close up of some piratey goodness (my box was filled with it!):

She MADE me a needle roll up of skully fabric with roses...it says Meanbean on the felt at the top, that's for needles....I LOVE it!

She also recycled an old necklace that apparently committed hari kari at work last week, and gave me a film canister:

hmmm....oh yes.  Deliciously juicy goodness awaited in that little treasure chest:  This picture can't even come CLOSE to the jewel colors of these glass beads...they're brilliant!

Wow...just wow.  I'm having a bit of anxiety over mine now - rest assured this package is loved, on display and the candy will be shared with the little bean, but only on the most minimal of bases Wink

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
