1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Birthday Month Swap- January Gallery on: February 07, 2006 01:45:05 PM
OK, so now I know it takes about a MONTH to get post from Oz to Kansas  Wink  Well, the USA anyway.  I'll keep this in mind for future swaps too (which means I need to extract a digit on the Buggy swap . . . )

So glad you liked it, Mommabear.  I have some photos, but have NO idea how to post  Sad

And am now officially running late for work!  BYE!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: from the past - my old painted wall on: January 26, 2006 09:44:27 PM
That's a very cool, and yet strangely disturbing, wall.  I hope it wasn't your bedroom?  Maybe that's why you need sleep? Cheesy
3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: the baptists are gonna take away my foot-washing license for this one.... on: January 26, 2006 05:03:37 PM
edit: lucky me post #666  is about religion.

Is it just me or is that hilarious?

Love the shirt too, and the stencil.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: flying the knitting pirate flag on: January 26, 2006 04:46:22 PM
What does the knitting pirate flag look like?  Undecided
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: crazy huge boots on: January 24, 2006 09:51:59 PM
You could try a leather soap on them?  Like what horse people use for cleaning tack?
6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: for you dancers out there: OLD POINTE SHOES! on: January 24, 2006 09:46:01 PM
That's funny because I imagine that old, well-worn point shoes would be smelly, but not in a good way!  LMAO
7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help with lip balm recipe! Please, going crazy! on: January 23, 2006 11:26:53 PM
Hi, Ravv.  I have made lipgloss from anhydrous lanolin before, which works really well.  It's quite sticky, but the hydration of the lips lasts AGES.  If you leave it in it's natural state, it's a yellowish colour, but I imagine food colouring would work to change that, just remember that red and yellow is orange! Wink

It's not particularly tasty, so adding something like vanilla for flavour might help that.

The lanolin would replace the beeswax and I don't know that you'd need coconut oil either, as it's still malleable enough to use when "solid".  I would advise melting it to liquid to add the other things if you want to try it, the lanolin will reset very well on it's own.

Hope this helps,
8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Beginner Bath Products on: January 23, 2006 11:15:22 PM
I just made up a very simple scrub the other day - some rock salt(lightly mushed in the mortar and pestle to break the crystals down a tiny bit) and then added a few drops of Johnson's baby oil.  It's already slightly scented, so no fragrance necessary.  Is good stuff!  My potion, that is, not necessarily Johnson's baby oil.  Don't wanna sound like i'm plugging it or anything!  Embarrassed
