1  How to cut velcro coins? in Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions by craftqueen707 on: June 24, 2017 11:14:30 AM
I have been buying velcro coins for various projects and I use them so often and need various sizes so I'd like to make my own. I'm wondering if a cropodile would be able to cut through velcro strips to make my own. Or any other ideas for cutting perfect circles or other shapes? Thanks!

2  What size rope for rope sandals? in Shoes: Discussion and Questions by craftqueen707 on: April 22, 2010 01:35:30 PM
Hi, I am planning on making sandals from polypropylene rope similar to the pictures below.  I found a simple tutorial and I think I will be able to manage.  My only problem is figuring out what size rope to use.  Can anyone estimate what size rope I should use based on the pictures or previous experience?  Thanks!

3  Re: Super Simple Hair Doo Dads Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by craftqueen707 on: July 14, 2009 12:42:05 AM
Ok, I finally have pictures.  I wish I would've taken pictures while wearing them in Hawaii, but I didn't.  So, late as they may be, here are the pictures.  I love everything!  Bluesisteralex's came today with the large pile of mail I received from the week I was gone.  Thank-you to all of my swap partners, everything is beautiful!

I love how patriotic this is!  Perfect for July 4th!

There are two of these, but I have the other one in my car as a back up hair pin.  Very cute!

Green is my favorite color!

It is hard to see the color in the headband, but it is there.  I love the pattern and subtlety of the colors.

4  First Time Iris Folding in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by craftqueen707 on: May 03, 2009 07:51:34 PM
Hey all, I recently completed my first cards using Iris Folding!  They were all thank-you notes for birthday presents and a scholarship.  The two birds were done with ribbon and the others with magazine pages.  This tutorial https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=247690.0 helped me out a lot and I found the patterns from various websites.

5  Two New (from plastic bags) Headbands! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by craftqueen707 on: January 21, 2009 04:00:47 PM
Hey everyone, I made the purple headband awhile back and last night I decided to make another.  I wanted to make something more interesting, so I grabbed some pink bags and a bedazzler type thing (which I got from a garage sale a long time ago and never used!)  and got to work.  I wore it to school today, and I love it!

6  My new love: ribbon! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by craftqueen707 on: January 02, 2009 09:06:36 PM
Okay, so I am now hooked on ribbon crafts!  I have only made two items so far, but they are easy and addicting!  I made a headband and a ladybug hair clip.  The next one I make will have no visible glue!  My goal for next quarter at school is to wear a new handmade accessory every day, and these are so quick to make they will definitely help me achieve my goal!

7  Red Checkered half-apron in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by craftqueen707 on: December 15, 2008 01:48:41 PM
I saw this post: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=38097.0 and decided I had to make an apron!  I have no use for an apron, but I didn't expect this to actually turn out nice because I have never successfully sewn any item of wearable clothing.  But, it turned out very nice, and I love it!  I think it would make a nice Christmas gift, but I don't know anyone who wears aprons.  Anyhow, I used this tutorial: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?action=printpage;topic=94779.0;images  and the tie pocket tutorial from laurasaurus

All Finished!

8  Christmas gifts: sandwhich wrap mats in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by craftqueen707 on: December 15, 2008 01:43:35 PM
I was inspired by this post: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=265999.0  and I decided with my limited sewing skills that these would be easy enough to make for Christmas gifts.  I ended up making 12 of them for my friends at school.

9  Winter Ball Mask in Costumes: Completed Projects by craftqueen707 on: December 15, 2008 01:38:53 PM
My sister's floor was supposed to have a winter masquerade so I made her a mask, only to find they canceled the party.  I still like the mask, although I have no use for it.  It makes a pretty decoration in my room.  I was inspired by this post: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=248638.0  The mask is made from paper plates.
Me holding it flat

It actually is curved

And a little lopsided

10  Plastic QFC Bag Wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by craftqueen707 on: November 23, 2008 03:04:49 PM
For one of my friend's birthdays I decided to make something out of the plastic QFC bags he gave me.  The only non-girly thing I could come up with was a wallet.  I added a snap closure with a glue gun after I took these pictures.  Let me know what you think!

He is very proud of his job at QFC, so I made sure the logo was on the outside, front and center.

There are four card slots inside and a place for bills/receipts.
