I am so in on this. I've been thinking about the whole ATC thing for a while but I've been in a bit of a creative funk of late. This will be the perfect kick start I've been looking for.

This looks like a great project. Any chance of posting a pattern? I saw a previous poster said it was from Joanns but I'm in Australia and we don't have Joanns here.

The paper does stick to the fabric, but it is very easy to peel off one the paper is dry.
7  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Back To School Knitalong on: August 09, 2006 06:29:05 PM
This sounds like a lot of fun. Eventhough I don't go to school I still love all that stuff, and any way christmas will soon be upon us.
I live in Australia and our school year starts in February and I have a lot of friends with kids at school so count me in.

I put an old folded up towel underneath and then between each sheet of paper I use different pieces of fabric and then I can peg these up to dry. I use old tea towls the most, some smooth and some textured depending on the effect I want.
A tip to help avoid the smooth shiny side. place a piece of cloth between the formed paper sheet and the plastic.

Mine would definatly have to be socks and dishcloths. I get requests all the time from family and friends for more knitted dishcloths. I'm only too happy to oblige.
