1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Greedo the Bounty Hunter Toothbrush Holder. Star Wars Geek Houseware! on: April 06, 2006 09:37:18 PM
I came across this "spring cleaning" the other day...(here's the story...)
I made this as a birthday present for my now-husband a few years back. We were going through this Star Wars geek phase.  I was so excited when I found it because I hadn't seen it in awhile...We took it out of our bathroom because with arrival of dog & baby..it was getting knocked around. Now that it has resurfaced, I realize we all have electric toothbrushes which can no longer be accommodated by Greedo's bulbous head.

I used to have access to a kiln, so it is just hand-built clay, then kiln fired and glazed.
Thanks for letting me share!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Sweaters, Records, Wrappers! What strange things have you made a purse from? on: February 22, 2006 05:34:32 PM
My sister-in-law gave me unused wrappers from packages of butter (sent as packing material with school supplies...) and said I should make a purse out of them...
That got me thinking...what was the weirdest thing you have ever used to make a purse out of?

Butter wrappers would be mine!

3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / 45 record purse - Help? on: January 31, 2006 09:10:03 PM
I have made two attempts at making 45 rpm record clutch cylindrical purses- and both times had the same problem...After sewing the vinyl covered vinyls to the vinyl...wait a minute...I'll try this simpler...
After sewing the vinyl covered records to the fabric with the zipper, the creation no longer fits in the sewing machine to sew a clean edge on the end of the cylinder...does this make any sense?
this is a funny picture of my sewing view..
this picture shows the buckling on the right side..that is what I need help with.

Thanks
