1  Greedo the Bounty Hunter Toothbrush Holder. Star Wars Geek Houseware! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by hko on: April 06, 2006 09:37:18 PM
I came across this "spring cleaning" the other day...(here's the story...)
I made this as a birthday present for my now-husband a few years back. We were going through this Star Wars geek phase.  I was so excited when I found it because I hadn't seen it in awhile...We took it out of our bathroom because with arrival of dog & baby..it was getting knocked around. Now that it has resurfaced, I realize we all have electric toothbrushes which can no longer be accommodated by Greedo's bulbous head.

I used to have access to a kiln, so it is just hand-built clay, then kiln fired and glazed.
Thanks for letting me share!

2  Re: Doggie Lovers Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by hko on: March 29, 2006 08:43:48 PM
Seeing that this is my first swap and all...I had no idea what to expect...but Pam/KittyKill totally rocked my world with her awesome gifts!
My old lady Jazzy thrives on her "bad girl" image, and these gifts totally fit her to a T!

here is Jazzy modeling her brand new collar...(I know she looks all cuddly and innocent here, but this was tonight, well after the initial excitement wore off of her!!)  Isn't it cute?

This is a series of "bad dog" (as in bad to the bone!) notecards KittyKill made.  They are so funny!  I know it is tough to see in the pic, but my favorites are Rylee, age 9...who says "Let's just say I've made some bad choices.  Now how 'bout that drink" and Buck and Charles who say "Your toilet should flush fine now, Mrs. Orlowsky."

here are the "Bad Dog Warning Signs"  which...as I scroll down the list, I have to say, I should of picked up on some of these sooner with Jazzy...

Here are my Ev & Jazzy shortly after the package was strewn around our house.  Jazzy is being a big poser with her new collar, and Ev has this awesome new toy!

here is Ev cuddling this really cute little wooden pull toy doggy!  It is so neat!

and now Ev's being the poser Smiley

I wanted to take the "studio" shot of our new adorable little buddy, but Ev was playing with it all day, napping with it...etc.. so at this moment it is somewhere in "Ev-land" and I wasn't able to find it, but it is so cute!

And finally..there was a big 'ol bag of treats (now placed in a secure area) and this doggy wooden stamp and doggy charms, which I think I am going to attach to all my coat zippers!!

Soooo, I had a ton of fun and Pam/Kittykill- thank you so much! I love it all!  Thank you Thank You Thank You!

creative minds think alike?

I just happened across your post and noticed two things...I tried something similar to your wallet a few months back, but I was having a hard time and gave up Sad  Yours looks great!

the one on the bottom with all the strings and crooked velcro was what made me give up...I guess it is kind of a small picture, but your post makes me want to try it again!

anyway, Secondly- I have the same business card design as you!!

5  45 record purse - Help? in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions by hko on: January 31, 2006 09:10:03 PM
I have made two attempts at making 45 rpm record clutch cylindrical purses- and both times had the same problem...After sewing the vinyl covered vinyls to the vinyl...wait a minute...I'll try this simpler...
After sewing the vinyl covered records to the fabric with the zipper, the creation no longer fits in the sewing machine to sew a clean edge on the end of the cylinder...does this make any sense?
this is a funny picture of my sewing view..
this picture shows the buckling on the right side..that is what I need help with.
