11  Re: Clapotis from Knitty in Knitalongs by KungPow on: October 27, 2005 03:53:50 PM
I knit this one up over a summer sitting at the beach.

I used TLC's Amore, about 2 1/2 balls for about $8 each at Zellers.

The pictures aren't that great, and the shawl turned out a lot bigger then I expected...I was aiming for a biggish scarf and ended up with a nice sized wrap which is okay too I guess.

I happened to have knitted this scarf up a few months ago, as my first lace project.

I used a Crystal Palace Yarn called "Kid Merino" (28% kid mohair, 28% merino wool, 44% micro nylon) that I got at my LYS for about $8/ball.  I only used just over half the ball and probably should have made it longer but I was getting bored of it and wanted to start something else.

Anyway, behold!

13  punk rock backpack - revamped in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by KungPow on: October 27, 2005 03:39:17 PM
I made this a few months back, but thought I would post anyway.

I didn't like the designs offered in the book so just graphed out a simple star to intarsia on there.

Out of all my knitted creations, this one gets the most compliments from total strangers.

14  jewellery - knitting with wire in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by KungPow on: October 27, 2005 03:15:29 PM
Has anyone tried this?  Do you have any tips on making this EASY!!!

I just started making a simple garter stitch necklace (I plan to twist it when it is done)

This is about as far as I have gotten, my fingers are sore and I want to give up...but I know this will look AMAZING when it's done.
