1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Memory box for school project on: November 23, 2007 05:21:46 PM
So, for my History Class we have been studying our family history. Hence these snazzy memory boxes, which have all sorts of my family pictures and a few items too.

My brother's baby picture

My brother and I + a camp libby badge

A bunch of things...I'm in the left corner (the baby), my dad, brother and I are in the middle, and my mom on her wedding day is on the end

family portraits

My side, my pics+buisness card

my mom's senior pic+some pretty star fabric

My brother

my mom's family (from left to right); my grandma's baby pic, my uncle, my mom, my grandpa, my grandpa's baby pic, my grandma

A few of these are attached to foam sheets and are 3D. Buttons and spools of thread have been scattered throughout. It's a shoe box covered in tissue paper.

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Creative minds to help with t-shirt design? on: November 04, 2007 09:15:10 AM
Alright, so...my flute choir and I want to make t-shirts. But, everything I think of doesn't have the flair I'm hoping for. We don't have money to hire someone, and were hoping someone would make us something. We want to have the different types of flutes on there (piccolo, C flute, alto flute, bass flute, contrabass flute) and want it to be catchy. If anyone is willing to make this for us, it'd be greatly appreciated and I will link to your website (if you have one) on our website. Please PM me if interested! Thanks!

K...so I made a timeline for myself'

1) 7th grade, super long, boring hair
2) after the first cut below my shoulders, late autumn of 9th grade
3) first cut shorter, winter of 9th grade
4) a little grown out, almost spring of 9th grade
5) I'm in the middle, spring of 9th grade
6) DYED, summer before 10th
7) current, not really my natural color, autumn of 10th
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Goth princess? Goth little red riding hood? Help! on: October 21, 2007 09:04:39 AM
I've decided to do little red riding hood. I'm going to get a "picnic" basket (I may just make one tonight, I have the weaving supplies) and put black flowers in it. I'll cover it in a piece of black cloth with the flowers peaking out, this will allow me to use it as a purse too (yay, double duty!). I talked to my girlfriend, and she's thinking about going as the wolf, so we'd be a couple costume! Or the grandmother. I'll have to talk to her somemore, but I think she'd be a cute wolf and it'd be an easy costume. Also, just because I want some, I'm going to put on fake eyelashes. Any suggestions on colors, etc? Is there anything I'm completely forgetting here?
5  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Goth princess? Goth little red riding hood? Help! on: October 20, 2007 10:45:32 PM
Alrighty, so I've already decided I want to be goth for halloween (seeing as my parents freak out if I do that the rest of the year, and I want my fun!) I have a pair of black pants that I'm adding suspender-type things to, and plenty of black shirts. I also have combat boots to wear, and I'm going to do something fun with my makeup (prob. bright to contrast all the black). Now...to get a discount ticket for my schools dance, I have to tell them what I am. I could be a goth little red riding hood (I have a cape). Or...what about a goth princess? With a tiara? What should I do? I'm going to get some arm warmers, and I have chains and such for the pants. I may buy a pair of piano-keys suspenders from hot topic and just let them hang. I'm not sure yet--any ideas to help me out? I don't have much more money to spend, about $25 or so. Help?
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Makeup/Makeup accesories swap? on: October 09, 2007 05:26:04 PM
Suggested in this thread.

We could do a lot of accessories, such as makeup bags, "idea books", brush bags/sets, etc. We could also throw in actual makeup if wanted. I'm thinking it would be uber fun! I've never swapped, so I couldn't organize, but I'd be able to join now that I have money. Anyone interested?
7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: The Art of Makeup on: October 09, 2007 05:22:55 PM
Paper faces sound awsome! Would any swap-experienced persons be willing to lead it? I've never swapped, I've never had enough money for one before. Jobs=awsomeness! And this wouldn't be super expensive either, shipping would probably be one of the most expensive things--assuming we had most of the materials at home. I'll post something on the swap board.

Heres the link to the makeup swap idea!

What if we did a makeup swap? I don't know if it would be allowed...maybe if we included crafted items like makeup bags/customized brushes/etc? It'd be pretty snazzy.

I wanted to bump up this great thread, and I had some makeup of my own to show off. Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated. Eyeliner is urban decay and the green eyeshadow was a random drugstore stuff. Crappy, but it's SOO bright.
