2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / new clothes for me!!!!! on: June 04, 2006 07:24:34 PM
I really love making new clothes for myself,  it feels just as good as buying them, and its more fun to flaunt lol.

heart button and gathering are a little crooked on this one!! oops!!

the way im holding my shirt is odd.  but you couldnt see the lace part so i did what i had to do.

this is actually a reconstruction but oh well.  it was a mens large plain black tshirt and i resized it and stenciled everything on it.

Thanx for lookin'!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / oh what a polka dotted dress!!! on: March 31, 2006 05:24:22 PM
so i wanted a polka dot dress and i set out to make one.
i bought myself a pattern, and it turns out that i hate patterns.
so instead of following the pattern, i just cut the pieces out and sewed them how i want.
much faster than following directions!!!!

i was pretty pumped about this one.........

it was my first time sewing with fabric that isnt stretchy, so therefore it was my first time sewing a zipper on a piece of clothing, which im sure would be a funny thing to watch me do.

sorry the pic is so dark and funny looking.
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / wallet wallet wallet (sounds like something a duck would say) on: March 13, 2006 02:52:13 PM

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / hawaiian luau dress??? on: January 22, 2006 11:30:16 AM
ok soooo......

court warming dance is coming up and guess who has nothing to wear?Huh
yeah that would be me.

well the theme is hawaiian luau...ugh....and i wanted to make a white dress and just wear a bunch of flowers, but i have no money for fabric.  All i have is this....
its about 5ft by 4ft

molly decided she wanted to help model.

close up of bottom i thought could go on the bottom of dress....

i have no clue what kind of dress would ever make this fabric look flattering or if there is any hope for it at all.....and i have to dress the theme because i am a winter cheerleader and we're hosting the dance and coach is making me.....
haha i have a week and a half.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / big shirt to little shirt......yay on: January 22, 2006 12:46:21 AM
So Basically my dad has about a million tshirts and claims he wears all of them. But we all know he doesnt.  So i sweet talked him into giving me a few. But anyways, i forgot to take before pics of the big shirts but they were like XL's or something.

Im thinking of adding black straps.

sorry about the bra straps and....

i got the stencil from the stencilry.

The skirt is actually the color it is in my first pic.  When i tooki pics of it on the floor the camera made it look really blue.
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / a slouchy hobo bag on: January 18, 2006 02:17:09 PM
I made a purse using this tutorial.....https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=35575.msg689828#msg689828
It is an amazing one!

the pic is crappy, sorry

it has pleats in it, but you cant see them, and the really shiny blinding parts are rhinestones, and the other things are buttons.  I made the lips patch by myself, i was so proud. This was also my first time doing a zipper, that was fun. well i gave this purse to my friend, and now i wish i would have kept it!
9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / The needle hates the presser foot on: January 14, 2006 07:28:16 PM
ok im not sure if this goes here...but o well....

so im really mad because i got my wonderful new sewing machine for christmas (my first one!), and i have somehow successfully bent three needles, two in the past week, and three in the past month.

All i know is that every once in a while my needle hits the presser foot, and i just dont know why. Sooo, i need some help, and my mom knows nothing about sewing machines so she is no help.  I dont know if it is the fabric, which i didnt think it is because mostly i have just sewn t-shirts.....and i sew some jeans once, but thats not one of the times the needle bent.

Im so addicted to cutting things up and sewing them back together now and all of this is just way too much. its devastating! Cry someone please help me!!!!
