1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re:Smurf Dress from Sheets on: April 16, 2004 02:10:08 PM
just like the many others, i've come to say how great this dress is! i've tried to talk my mom into buying me some cool sesame street print sheets, but no go. i think i need to work on my sewing skills a little before i go for that. you should think of trying to make a pattern/tutorial for this dress. a lot of us would appreciate it!

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Old Book Cover Purse? on: March 12, 2004 06:56:03 PM
hey there!
the other night while helping clean out my church we found some old, worn out looking hymnals that i really love. (i have a thing for old ugly antiquey stuff!) i remember seeing somewhere once something about a purse made out of an old book cover... not sure how this would work, any ideas?
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re:Boring Ol' Jeans... What To Do? on: March 12, 2004 06:10:59 PM
those are great guys, thanks.
i was thinking of a skirt, that could turn out pretty cool... the bag is great, i've always loved those.
reminds me of something i made in my girl guide days... we used just the pocket of some old jeans, and made a little purse out of that. it was really tacky with a beaded fringe on the botton, but i loved it.
anyway, it's march break, so i should have a chance to do that soon. if it turns out ok maybe i'll post some pictures... now, to find my mom's old sewing machiene...
