- Does not have any negative feedback: YES

Details of swap:  I'm sure we all have a favorite movie that we're a little embarrassed to admit to. You know, like when you're flipping the channels and Mystic Pizza is on, and you just can't turn away even though you've seen it 5000 times? But it never makes it on any official list of your favorite movies, and sometimes youd even try to deny liking it if asked.

So, whether you secretly love Howard the Duck, Beastmaster or One Crazy Summer, come out and admit your favorite GP movie to your swap partner, who can then craft you something inspired by that film so you can show it off with pride.

Yes, you can list more than one movie if you wish. Just answer all the questions for each movie, and then your partner can choose which one they want to work with.

Lets do one large item and two smaller items.

Also, be supportive. The best thing about guilty pleasure movies is that they are often enjoyed because theyre bad. Were not here to judge, were here to craft!

Here's the link to the original thread for inspiration:

If you want to participate, information to send to the organizer:

If you would like to participate, please PM me and also POST IN THIS THREAD.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

since it's a small group I decided to do this round robin style, so the person you are sending to is not the same person you're receiving from.

3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Admit your fave guilty pleasure movie swap? on: April 29, 2006 10:47:38 AM
I'm sure we all have a favorite movie that we're a little embarrassed to admit to. You know, like when you're flipping the channels and Mystic Pizza is on, and you just can't turn away even though you've seen it 5000 times? But it never makes it on any official list of your favorite movies.

Anyways, my suggestion is this: Admit your favorite GP movie to your swap partner, who would then craft you something inspired by that film so you can show it off with pride. The questionaire could ask for your favorite GP movie, why you like it, and random craft ideas you can think of (since you would know your movie best) as a jumping off point for your partner. What do you all think?
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / what about Wonderfalls? on: February 13, 2006 07:40:28 PM
Would anyone be interested in a Wonderfalls swap? I don't have the points to organize but I think it would be so much fun. They have some great knits on that show, plus all of the little talking animals, so there's definite craft potential...
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Goblet of Fire knits - Ginny's bag?? Please help on: November 25, 2005 08:24:33 PM
Hey - just got in from the new Harry Potter and my future knitting project list got so much longer. Did anyone else see Ginny's bag? It's pretty blink-and-you'll-miss-it. She has it when they're on their way to the Quidditch world cup. It looks pretty simple - a front and back fair isle design with tassels across the bottom, but the top has me confused. It looks kind of similar to the Chinese Charm Bag in SnB, except gathered more and with a shoulder strap instead of handles. What's the best way to do that?? I'm going to take a stab at it, but any brilliant ideas or guidance would be greatly appreciated.  Smiley
6  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 7 ENTRIES / Overalls purse on: November 07, 2005 05:44:10 PM
this is my very first post - I had to start sometime, right? I made this purse a while ago from a pair of very old overalls. Sorry, I couldn't get the pics to post right. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sandyharned/detail?.dir=5d18&.dnm=942d.jpg&.src=ph
First, I cut off the legs and separated the front and back pieces. I took the back piece and folded it into itself so the straps would begin right over the butt. Then I matched it up to the bib piece and sewed them together. I sewed the straps onto the bib piece so they wouldn't come undone (and also because one of the buttons had fallen off long ago and I never got around to putting on a new one).
I used part of one of the legs for the bottom, lined the bag and patched up the pockets.
I love having all the pockets, and the belt loops are great for me to clip my keys to so I don't have to go digging for them. So there it is.  Smiley
