21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / First sewn clothing Item... Black, and red Tulle tutu skirt ~*~ Now With Tute~*~ on: December 16, 2005 10:50:20 PM
So this is the first piece of clothing i have ever made. And also my first piece made without a pattern....

So, it is see through... It was designed to be worn over 3/4 black tights...

Im pretty proud of it... and... I want to keep it....

But its for part of my sisters christmas present... So i cant... *pout*

Ohwell... im gonna make me one...

The first is always the proto-type yeah..?? haha

oh.. another great thing... It was made out of two pieces of fabric from a remnant bin and i have enough of the black stretchy to make myself a top aswell...!!!

Modified to add tutorial, Hope its alright, this is also my first tutorial, and i didn't have any Left Over tulle To make another, So its made in boring old paint.

23  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Artist Trading Card Swap - Australia and New Zealand Incl. The rest of the world on: November 27, 2005 03:40:11 PM
I saw the recently done Artist Trading Card Swap, and wanted to do it too, Unfortunatley i was too late and couldnt... but all the cards were so good... I'd love to see another one run by someone (i cant i havent done a swap yet)

I said Australia and New Zealand, cause id like to get more of each involved, everyone else should do it too, but, it seems there is an excess of non aust/NZ people, not that thats a bad thing cause its a non Aust/Nz site. But, I'd love to see fellow Aussies involved... and also our close "cousins" from NZ.

Any one interested...Huh

24  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / (kinda) First Hand Sewn Thing, Wrist Cuff and Ring (**with pictures**) on: November 19, 2005 07:23:43 PM
Ok, so apart from dolls clothes and teddy clothes i made when i was 7 (if you wanna know, they fell apart and looked terrible, and, most of the time didnt fit) This is the first hand sewn thing i have made, The images are kinda dodgy, and you cant really see the detail But... here goes anyway...  Wink

So, this is the both of them together, Ignore my ugly hand... hehe and the really blurry pictures, i think i was too close when i took them, The skull has a little detail on it, it has eyes, which are just knots of black thread and, it also has a small line where its mouth should be, but that was accidental, i didnt mean for it to happen like that, But when i saw it.. I likes it..  Smiley The ring was going to have two diagonal red lines like the cuff, but when i had done the two, it didnt look right, so i turned it into a cross, The ring is sewn into a circle, so it just slides on, But the cuff has two press studs on the back. im thinking of making some more, but with two sets of press studs so the size is interchangeable....

And this is the back of the cuff....

Since I moved and no longer have any of my craft supplies... (( Angry Angry Cry Cry)) This was made out of some old slightly stretchy shirt material, and a really cheap sewing kit (was about $5 and had all diff. colours of thread, needles, scissors, stitch unpicker thing, needle threader, thimbal, pins etc) Was pretty easy to make, all up took me about an hour or so... (well, would have taken that long if i didnt keep undoing the pictures and changeing where i stitched the design)
