91  Re: My First _______ Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by kayrun on: August 16, 2010 03:17:04 PM
oh wow,
am I the first to post here?
darkladymajesta sent a very nice pkg,
with 4 glasses that she hand-painted (polka dots!  love'em)
had to put the bubble wrap inside to show the design....
and she included a hand-made book with cute lil forest creatures stamped all through.
Way to go on crafting all of that for the first time!
And cute bonus items, as well~
a card-making kit, gel pens, and a cute pail (plan to use as a pencil cup in my classroom)

(if you have better pics, please post!
my skills are lacking in that area  Smiley

I had NO idea she was the one sending the pkg!

And she spoiled me by sending 2 big fabric grocery size bags (as large as the brown
paper bags, I think!) as well as 2 smaller bags that fold up into the most darling little pouches
with pull strings!

Thank you so so so much, Deb!!
You are the greatest!!
(and if you have better pics, please share with the group Smiley

blushingbluegrass, those are knit cloths (sort of my specialty craft Smiley
and the tote....well, I've never attempted that type of crafting before....I had
to laugh at myself with the various products I bought to use on the tote, and
none of them worked the way I thought they would!  It was quite the learning curve!
P.S.  Couldn't decide about coloring in the leaves -- you may want to; I'm sure you are more artistic than I am!

and no worries about your package, it is just perfect!
(sorry that the pic is not more centered)

I cannot wait to try my new coffee, and the pillow cover is outstanding!
In case you can't see, she embroidered "A fungus among us" in the corner!
It is nicely done!
Thanks for being my partner!!

Prepare to be jealous!!  Smiley
My amazing partner sent another wonderful box of yarnie goodness

Here is the first glimpse of the goodies:

(everything has tags...she's so clever!)

Then we have:
Local = some yummy handmade soap
Lumpy = Mission Falls cotton (have never tried this, so exciting!)
Sender's Choice = a crocheted washcloth (love this -- she actually used some yarn I sent her last time! plus I can't crochet to save my life, so I'm in awe of her skills)

And YUMMMY:
Smaller than 2" = a needle holder from Colonial Williamsburg, a keychain size crochet hook for making repairs, and a cute stitch marker *handmade*
Long = Leicester Longwool Yarn from Colonial Williamsburg!  How neat -- grown on historic sheep, she says in her note, and natural dyed....
The Letter L = Lavender Llama Lancaster Logndraw Spun....soft and shiny!  Another thing I've never tried before...llama!  Hey, did you spin this yourself??
and last but not least:
GOLDEN = 2 skeins of the most beautiful GOLDEN brown superwash natural dyed by Hazel herself!!!
Can you imagine??  What a wonderful pkg!
(oh, and the chocolate bar & coffee will be enjoyed & appreciated by me & my family   Grin

I received my AWESOME package from Kayrun.  She made me a beautiful Poncho which I've always wanted and great wash clothes.  I took a pic but it won't transfer from my camera for some reason.

But believe me, it is so jealous worthy Smiley

I can share a couple of pics, but I'm sure yours are better (I always snap in a hurry, ready to go to the p.o.!)
