1  Re: "Too Sexy" Reversible Kitschy Tote and scrap cupcake patch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by llenray on: May 08, 2007 08:19:37 PM
The pink part looks like an elephant, or really an incus bone (one of the bones of the middle ear.)

just kinda tilt your head a little!

2  Re: September 2006 Birthday Month Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by llenray on: September 28, 2006 03:02:23 PM
they may be bad quality, but here are some pictures from my birthday packages!!

this is the bag mint sent me. I love it! it's nice and long and fits everything nicely.

that's a close-up of one of the patches.. they're all different and AWESOME. there's a surprise one on the back, too! I loooove it. it's so fun and cheery. just the way to carry my books to class.

now for alibeachgrl's present!

jim henson magnets!!
I LOVE them. they're so fun and they're all on my fridge as we speak. I took some close ups of them all..
the bigger ones are laminated with magnets on the back and the smaller ones are in beer bottle caps! I could be wrong, but I think each cap is from a different kind of beer. let's check. only one repeat. but hey, they're on a fridge currently filled with beer (I just turned 21, what do you expect?!  Grin Tongue)

and then my favorite two are saved for last.. .

these are AWESOME. thank you to both mint and alibeachgrl!!

Here are some pictures of the cd cover I made taciturn  Grin glad you like it!

here's the cover with a closeup of that skull font you liked Smiley  you can see the asl in the background too.. I thought I was being clever with that one  Roll Eyes Tongue

here's the first cd's track listing. it doesn't actually have those fun light blotches on them, haha

here's the second listing. I had fun with the layout, in case you couldn't tell

and thats one of the cds. not nearly as fun as the listings.. so you can just ignore this one.

here's the shot glass in question

and one comparing it to another shotglass I have  Wink

5  Re: My Country Doesnt Have That Round III - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by llenray on: February 08, 2006 05:21:07 PM
Here are some pictures from what I sent sharc!

that's the overall package, since sharc already lives in the US, I tried to get my friends from different states to help and make it a "my state doesn't have that!" deal.. unfortunatly, only two complied. My friend from Michigan contributed with a package of dried cherries, some recipes to use the cherries in and some special stones from her area. She also got fun post cards. My other friend brought me a wooden light house from rhode island. I tried to represent new jersey with a nail brush and file and a (jersey) cow toy.
I read that sharc likes to cook, so I made a reciple box (aka covered one with fun fabric and fringe and tried to get a few recipes in there). It was my first attempt at anything like that, so I hope it came out okay!
I tried to get at her (self-declaired!) geekier side with a mouse pad from my college. I threw in some purple and gold m+ms from the school as well (my school is a little obsessed with their colors!)
I also tried to please her dogs with fun dog toys I found. While my package wasn't filled with candy as others were, I tried to bring my take on sharc's interests. whoo!

here are some more pictures

I got my package from sharc today! I love it! So many goodies from trinidad (sorry!! I fixed it!)! I really appreciated how sharc gave me lessons on Trinidad (fixed yet again!) throughout the swap experience too, thanks!!
Here's a big picture of all the food. Wow! there's a ton. I tried some of the Ping Pongs, they were good, that candy layer is surprising! I'm all ready to reward myself with an aero bar after my night class tonight.. I'm definitly going to be sharing some of the snacks.. but not those!  Grin Lips sealed

here's a close up of my loves, along with some of the other candy

I also got some exciting looking spices and such that I'm sure my dad will love. It's hard to cook in a dorm, but I'll be home next weekend and I'll get him to follow some of the exciting sounding recipes that Sharc included (I'm most looking forward to the trini sweet bread and curry beef!)

I also got some great looking yarn, hand-dyed. I've wanted to dabble in yarn dying for a long time, I'm excited to have some so I can be inspired!

and there's more!
I got two fancy looking stitch markers (my first ones ever!) and beautiful charms, I LOVE the turtle one! Sorry about the quality of the photos, they're from my camera phone.. my digi died on me

Last but not least (unless I'm forgetting somethign! eep!), I got two cds; a comedian and some calypso music. I love comedians, I'm sure I'll be sitting here laughing and scaring my roommate when I hear them. I've played calypso music in band.. it'll be nice to hear a good version of it  Wink

Sharc:  thank you thank you thank you!!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin I know you've recieved from me, if you want.. I have pictures of everything before I sent it.

7  Re: Rapunzel, rapunzel, let down your hair! (scarf) in Craftalongs by llenray on: December 24, 2005 09:19:24 AM
Here are a few picturess of mine! My good camera is at school, so you just get a few "in the process" ones. I used mostly random strands of yarn as well as a few things of ribbon. I also chainstitched one strand, just for fun.

There it is all spread out before I braided it

here's my "I'm almost done braiding it, whoo!" shot

and this one is when it's done and I just folded it up to see more of the colors. I made mine a little shorter than I originally wanted it, because one of the ribbons I bought was only 6 feet long - pre braiding. I wore it yesterday for the first time and got a bunch of comments on it. Yay! Thanks for doing this with me, guys.

8  Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by llenray on: December 12, 2005 01:02:32 PM

so I'm not sure why my camera made the picture as distorted as it did, but there's my tattoo! It's on my wrist and it's the twin towers and my brothers initials (not month day year, as many have asked).
I kinda regret having it where it is.. but only sometimes. It's going to be difficult to cover at times and I am going to be a speech therapist, so I'll probably need to have it covered most of the time I'm working. I wanted it somewhere I could see it easily and rub when I missed him (sounds cheesy, but it's comforting). I also regret not having it as realistic, in the sense that it's not what the skyline actually looked like. oh well! I'm still happy with it Smiley

and permanent makeup = not my cup of tea

9  My first scarf! in Crochet: Completed Projects by llenray on: December 12, 2005 01:22:20 AM
I just finished my first crocheted scarf last night! It's only my second project ever completed, my first being one of those Ama(I 'm not going to even try to spell that one)/cute little stuffed roxy stuffed animals a little while ago.
I saw hazydaystar88's scarf here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=59171.0 and I fell in love with it, so I based mine off of it. whoo!! I started out with dc because I was originally in a rush to make it for a friend for a gift swap, but I wound up making her something else and keeping it for me!

Here's my friend modeling it

and cloooooser (this is where you can tell I'm a beginner. oh well! I still like it!)

and closer. gotta love walmart's scrap fabric bins.

10  Re: PATTERN-Amigurumi Animals...now with more patterns in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by llenray on: November 13, 2005 12:38:40 PM
just letting you know, this was my first EVER completed project, so THANKS!!!!  Grin Grin Grin
Here's the monkey, the pink yarn I used is darker than it showed up (great camera phone quality Wink) and the pink thread matches it more than it looks. I also decided to kinda go with it when attaching the felt.. I tried the whip stitch but was getting impatient, haha. so yeah. YOU ROCK.
