1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: panta! (from a finnish pattern). on: March 01, 2006 09:38:43 PM
I finished my own Panta last night. I don't think I'm necessarily cool enough for Panta, but I still like it. I originally intended it to be a gift, but now I'm not sure....

Wool of the Andes, size 5 needles, and the only change I made was to slip the first and last stitches of every other row.

Ubermensch, I love the color! It's so nice and spicy. And it looks great on you!

I'm actually glad the starting month is scarves- I'm working on a scarf for my boyfriend's father, a Crazy Aunt Purl's "Magic Scarf" in a reddish brown Peace Fleece wool. Very, very manly.

I would do this, but I think that perhaps some of the months could stand to be changed (for me at least). I tend to make the winter gifties like scarves and hats closer to the actual holiday- reason being, I don't know what half of my friends/family have for winter wear till it's time to pull it out of the closet! Despite that, I think I'd love to join anyway Smiley
5  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Liesel Lace Scarf on: December 21, 2005 11:04:03 PM

Made for my mom, in Andean Silk from KnitPicks. It blocked beautifully. Here's a happy mom wearing it:

I liked making it, but it didn't take me only a week...took me about 3, as I got bored at some point, as it didn't really feel like TV knitting, as I kept messing up one or two stitches, and then would realize at the end or the middle that the count was off. However, I would still like to make more of them, in different colors.

Tejer, I love the color.

Very cute, Bronxie! What kind of winter jacket are you wearing it with?

Have needles, will knit. Oh, and yarn too. I have a lovely green alpaca for this, and am making it for my mom for her December birthday (yeah, I know, I start early)
9  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Fall Cable Free Rebecca Sweater KAL on: September 17, 2005 01:18:21 PM
Is anybody interested in a knit along for this? The directions strike me as a bit confusing, but I still want to have a go at it.

It's the cream cabled sweater with snowflakes shown here: http://www.rebecca-online.de/cont_en/anleitungen_02.php

I love how the cables cross over each other. Very nice!
