21  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: horns or curl pattern needed please on: June 04, 2007 06:40:54 AM
I had this tutorial bookmarked on how to knit twisting tubes.  Not exactly what you're looking for, but it might help.

Good luck!

Does he grill?  I'm thinking skull & crossbones oven mitts.  This pattern works perfectly.

That poptart is too cute!

I love the shape of this bag, and you chose the perfect button to go with it.  Very nice!

It's perfect!  Every knitter needs one.
26  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: The Jack Sparrow chart... anyone got it saved?? on: May 29, 2007 01:08:30 PM
Yes, I was just searching the same thing and her website is down.  I have a copy of the chart but don't want to post another person's graphic without their permission.  If you pm me your email I'll send it to you.

What about a ripple pattern?
28  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: I don't get it. on: May 20, 2007 01:17:45 PM
I like to knit dishcloths because it gives me a chance to try new stitch patterns & techniques on a small scale.  I don't like to use them though, so I give them all away as gifts.

BTW - you can put your sponges in the dishwasher to disinfect them.  I put mine in every night.
29  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: I need a relatively easy, really pretty pattern.... on: May 20, 2007 01:11:35 PM
That yarn is $34 /100 yards and a clapotis takes 820 yards.  Cha-ching!
30  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Breastfeeding cover up--yarn/fiber/pattern suggestions? on: May 06, 2007 02:11:34 PM
Personally I think we should stop covering up breastfeeding.  It is, after all, what nature intended.  I always nursed my babies in public and never once used a cover up.

But since you asked - I'd use a lightweight (DK or baby) acrylic blend yarn and knit it in a somewhat lacy pattern forming little vent holes that will help with the coolness/airiness of it.
