I just checked out those illusion crochet sites and I'm very intrigued.  Hopefully soon someone will post a pattern/tutorial so we can all see how it's done.

I tried several times but couldn't get it to load.  All I got was a large gray box with a red X in the top left corner.  Sad

Wool will dissolve in chlorine bleach, like Chlorox.  Put a small piece of yarn in a bowl and pour on enough bleach to cover.  If it dissolves within a minute or two, it's wool.
