Yay i received my package today!! I came in all tired after school (though its not THAT tiring; I'm sure some of you work WAYY harder) and there was a little parcel on the kitchen table!!!!! I jumped up and was all happy, and i ran around, and ran to my brother and i said "look!! look what I got!!!" and all he said was "uh huh cool" without looking up (he was playing WoW, thats understandable) so i ripped open the package and i found the coolest, most awesomest ornament EVER!!! to bad we won't be getting a Christmas tree until the 14 Sad but I will survive. Onward with the pics!
compared to a quarter, good and Canadian (i love u moosey!)
regular pic
close up
these pictures suck, since i was using a webcam. and there so small too cuz i don't know how to bring the KB down without resizing. Its made out of felt, and is sewn by hand, with a star of seed beads (one green, one white) and a star bead with 5 other beads surrounding it. Its so pretty!! I really really love it!! Thank you so much stella_escuro!! (sorry i wrote stella_escura before, I was thinking Spanish and ya it might even be incorrect in Spanish but w/e) oh and if u look close enough at the second pic, u can see my nail!! see how its green? there are candy canes painted on!! This ornament and my nails are the only things keeping me sane (possibly insane?) until Christmas!!!

4  Tshirt recon sleeves? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by SillyLittleSquirrels on: November 19, 2005 11:48:38 PM
I reconstructed a shirt from a regular old T-shirt. Since I'm not done, and I have questions, I'm posting it here.

Since it was a regular T, the sleeves are all plain and big and boring. The shirt in its new form is sort of elegant, and I don't know how to sew up the sleeve so it matches and it isn't too tight (my arms skinny, and that just wouldn't look good considering its form with the rest.) anyone have any ideas of how to make the blah T-shirt sleeves into a more err.. 'sophisticated' but simple sleeve? Answers much appreciated, as I had coffee and I'm wired so I'll be up all night.
PS ask any questions since its highly likely I confused you. oh and sorry the pics are so small, I had to take it with my webcam and I was very very confused.

5  newbie's quick barbie stuff (v v exciting...) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by SillyLittleSquirrels on: October 15, 2005 09:34:03 PM
This was about a year ago, but my friend was visiting from out of town, and we decided to attack barbie dolls!! First, with much amusement we wiped the pink lipstick and baby blue eyes of the plastic thing. We did this with nail polish remover, if memory serves me correctly. Then we used the thinnest brushes i could find and painted faces on them again! I no my doll is not very creative, and actually looks (somewhat) like an original. I'm sure people with more creative minds would do wonderful stuff with great precision. Then, we found a pair of my old tights (man i loved them!) and took some string and needles and sewed dresses right on em! Later I also made a marilyn monroe type top (from the famous blowing-up-from grate-thingy pose) later on (around december?) They are masterpieces I know (starts to cough) but i just thought I could post em and other people would try similar techniques! I bet people would do wicked stuff paint on barbie's face!  Well here ya go, the pics!
this I did after my friend left. Sorry its sorta blurry  here's a full shot of the doll I did! Yes the face. I could lsit a lot of things that need fixing... And the Marilyn Monroe top.
I know, a thirteen year old with barbie dolls. Mainly they sit at the bottom of my closet in a box. I should donate them, but i'm a pack rat. I can't bare to part with something holding so many memories.

6  under a minute headbands! first post! :) *added pics* in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by SillyLittleSquirrels on: October 15, 2005 11:24:03 AM
You know for school how you need to cover your books? Usually people will buy those stretchy book covers that go for about $1.00 or so at Back-to-School stores. Well, if you have found no need for them anymore, you can just cut them up and create stretchy headbands!! Even though the edge is sorta not good quality, I'm sure those very crafty and good at sewing people would be able to find away. I can't find my camera, so I guess everyone is left to there imaginations... You may be very confused by what I'm saying, but i promise im not insane. Edit: I found the camera!
the desk wearing hedbandmy head yay!
