1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Fabric jewellery on: June 18, 2007 07:46:20 AM
i REALLY love your stuff, it's absolutely amazing. Is it all just made out of fabric? have you seen the style bubble blog? It looks like something she would wear. it's so fashion!  Smiley

Yup, all fabric! Them embellished with markals and beads. Just sold my first piece - the 3d necklace. All very exciting stuff! Going to have another play tomorrow and list a load in my etsy shop, I'm loving it.

Not seen the style bubble blog, shall have a peep sometime!

Thanks for all the positive responses!

Wow! What is going on with the necklace? is it starched--or, how do you get it to hold it's shape?

I like all your stuff, btw.

Nope, it's heat distorted fabric!

5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Colisseum stencil on: January 21, 2007 02:17:29 PM
Not sure if this is the right place for this, but does anyone know where I can download a stencil of the colisseum? Or any Roman landmarks! Cheers.

The same happened in my final art essay - try sprinkling baby powder between the (dry!!!) sheets.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Scriptease on: February 03, 2005 02:33:14 PM
For those of you who haven't seen the 'Scriptease', it's a bit like those t-shirts with velcro on so you can arrange letters, but bedding...

Pretty nifty. However, I'm thinking the old 'pfft, I could make that myself'. Thought it might make a pretty cool valentines gift for my blokey, perhaps just a cushion or pillowcase?

What could I use for the letters though? Do you know if you can buy foam letters anywhere in the uk, or online? Or would fabric/paper/whatever work better?

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: ideas anyone? on: February 03, 2005 02:06:33 PM
How about something she could use for herself, like bath salts or a decorated candle? She sounds like the kind of person who might appreciate something she can enjoy for 'me-time'.

You could make a cushion of some sort? Or how about a book where you write all the things that you think are great about her?

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Sendable valentines ideas? on: February 03, 2005 01:56:57 PM
This is mine and the new boy's first Valentines together (and most certainly our last, as we're both moving to different cities in September). We'll have been together about 2 1/2 months by the time it comes around so I'd like to make it special, but not too OTT...don't want to scare him off. Unfortunately I'll be out of town until the 15th so I wanted to send him something as a surprise.

I saw on a forum that someone had made some little cards and put them inside one of those breath strip cases and thought they were so cute.

Other than that, I'm a bit stumped. If anyone has any crafty/romantic ideas they'd be very much appreciated!

My guy is into movies, music (though quite what, I'm not sure :-/) and he's a bit of a romantic in the Keats sense of the word...loves skies and walks and all stuff like that.

Any help...please? Smiley Thank you!!
