Rufus arrived safe and sound and was promptly claimed by my daughter   Roll Eyes  She also has an aversion to onions, so they should get along well.  We're going to sit down in the next few days and plan what sights to see.  There's a lot going on around here with the holidays.

8  Re: the melted bead bowl in Beads: Completed Projects by jp197012 on: October 22, 2006 09:43:27 PM
ok, i've finally jumped on the bandwagon and subjected my family to the fumey goodness of melted pony beads   Cheesy  which wasn't really as bad as i had thought.

i laid the bead on a pizza pan and then pressed them into a metal bowl before they re-hardened.  i learned a few lessons (namely that metal bowls get very hot when lined with melted beads) but overall i'm pretty pleased.  i have some gold glitter pony beads and some tortise shell other beads i think will look good together.  i'll try them next weekend.

10  Re: Zodiac Swap Summer 2006 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by jp197012 on: August 31, 2006 12:58:28 PM
i finally remembered photobucket.com   Cheesy  my apologies for the picture heavy post, but i didn't want to leave anything out.

my poor camera absolutely fails to capture how vivid these colors are and the carefully thought out details of each item.  there was also a small package of some extra charms and matchboxes that isn't pictured.  now i won't have an excuse not to try a mini shrine!

two sets of jewelry!  the purple has a sagitarius symbol on the necklace and the blue has a raven (celtic).

a keychain with the elder tree (celtic) and a bookmark with the symbol for dog and 2 magnets and some bottle cap charms for my daugher who has the same signs i do.

closeup of the bottlecaps.

a journal that is absolutley beautiful!  it's all sparkly!!  the cover has all of my signs and an initial so that crystal won't mistake it   Wink  and a print of ravens with some gemstone accents

the famous zodiac fabric
