2. You must bookmark THIS thread. All updates will be made here and its your responsibility to keep up with everything.

3. I will be giving feedback in the following way: (Thanks to PinkMafia for this!)

great swapper- for those who follow all the rules
Did not thank partner or pm organizer when package was received- for those with bad manners
Poor communication- if you don't respond to my pm's but have been logging on to craftster
Shipped late (w/ or w/o communication)
Did not purchase DCN (unless you are not in US)

5. Please put EMBROIDERY PROJECT AND PATTERN SWAP as the title for all pms.

6. Please make an item that you would like to receive. Do some research on your partner.

7. If your package is too thin please stuff with plastic bags so you can get a DCN. If you are out of the US save your receipt, this is proof you shipped. You will not be given credit as shipped if your package is lost and you don't have the receipt or a DCN. Negative feedback will be given unless you make a replacement package.

This will be a swap of at least 1 embroidered item and 1 pattern set (or the equivalent). Your embroidered item should take 3-4 hours to make. (You can make 2 items that take an hour and a half to make, several small items, or a big time intensive item--communicate and come to an agreement with your partner about this if you want to make anything beyond this so they can reciprocate.)  Your pattern should be a set of iron-on transfer patterns you choose for your partner based on their questionnaire. If you would rather assemble some cool free patterns for your pattern set, or give them a small pattern book, you can do that as well. Whatever it is, just make sure that it is the equivalent of a pattern set.

6  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Fit to be tied in Sugar N' Cream cotton on: August 08, 2006 11:41:52 AM
Here is my take on the fit to be tied:

This was my second crochet project--it was a great beginner project. Smiley
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My Korean crosstitch keychains on: August 06, 2006 10:04:18 PM
Hi all!  I just spent a month in Korea on vacation and found these great little crosstitch keychain kits and kind of got hooked on making them for gifts. Two of them are similar because I made the one of the Korean bride and groom for the Asian cultures swap and then couldn't resist making one for myself too. The other are a gift for my friend and grandma.

They each have two sides with stitching, so in the first pic you will see the front and the second is all of them flipped over on the back.

And my very first crossstitch for the Asian cultures swap:

These were my first cross-stitching items ever. I bought 3 more keychains in Korea so I can make more as gifts. Each one only cost $4 for the kit that had the needle, thread, keychain and Aida to stitch on and I thought that wasn't bad. The keychains I bought by themself only cost $1.50. Yay for cheap and thoughtful gifts!
8  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Percolator and coffee cup on: June 27, 2006 03:50:04 PM
Note to self: waffle weave towels are not very easy to embroider. This turned out cute nonetheless, but it was hard to read the pattern and a bit hard to stitch up.

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crochet headband patterns? on: June 22, 2006 07:48:46 AM
Does anyone know of a cute, hip crochet headband pattern. I've been searching here and with google, but haven't had much luck. I would love suggestions---especially for free patterns! Smiley
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My very first crochet project-star blanket on: June 14, 2006 02:29:03 PM
I made the twinkle twinkle little star  blanket featured in this thread: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=93048.msg878837

This was a perfect blanket for my friend's baby because he has a star-themed baby room. I had the cream colored yarn in my stash, so I just found another color that looked good with it. This isn't a difficult project, pretty easy for even a beginner--after a few false starts. It's not perfect, but I think a few mistakes just give it more personality and I'm sure baby Will won't care. Smiley
