1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: looking for Shine Yarn--Grass on: May 17, 2008 10:00:42 AM
I have a skein and a partial of shine worsted in grass.  It's not the same dyelot, but if you want it, I'll be happy to donate.  PM me Smiley

I love the color!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Has anyone used an online graph to make their own intarsia picture? on: January 16, 2008 03:06:47 PM
I've used knitpro before for a couple of things.  I haven't been there in a while, but you should be able to select your gauge/yarn weight/something similar so that you get the right amount of stitches.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Hahaha I got you, Old Navy! on: October 17, 2007 03:06:31 PM
I've seen this in the store and it's not jersey but it is a super fine gauge, definitely different from the fair isle part of the vest.  I believe that it's sewn on separately, if that helps.  Good luck!

So it's not the kind of action shot I'd like, but it got kinda chilly here in Minnesota and I couldn't find a good setting.  But here she is!

And a close up of the lace, of course

Ahhh!  I'm done!  Hopefully I can block it tonight (when I'm done laying? lying? on the futon) and have pics tomorrow.  Right now it's not quite as big as I'd like it, but I hope blocking will help.  And I was getting sick of rows with 877553532 stitches in it  Wink

I just got this book and I absolutely luuuuuuuuurve this pattern.  What needles do you recommend to work with silk?

I had a lot of trouble with my seasilk so now I'm a bit gunshy so I may wimp out and buy a wool/silk blend.

I'm working with Debbie Bliss Pure Silk on my KnitPicks options, which are very slippery metal.  But they're the only things I have.  If I had the funds, I'd get some bamboo needles if you're going with silk.  Hope this helps and good luck!

Can I join?  I actually took a class from Amy herself, but then I put it down in my "I don't feel like knitting" phase and some support might be nice.  And here's a pic of how far I am.

I have 15 repeats currently.  And one row is getting to be very slow.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Looking for Mr. Rogers Sweater Pattern on: April 11, 2007 09:45:50 PM
A mock neck is like a turtleneck without the foldover and it's a little shorter.  A good pattern that I very loosely based from was the men's ribbed cardigan in Last Minute Knitted Gifts.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Knitty's Katja - halter top for a baby - ha! on: April 05, 2007 09:12:52 AM
Hey, look!  I just finished one too!  Only I put some eyelets in it.  I'd give you a modeled pic, but my friend's baby isn't due till June Sad
