1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Polar bear :) on: September 30, 2006 11:57:09 PM
Here's the second bear I have made and the first toy I made for myself Smiley I make them as gifts but then I saw the pattern (http://www.planet-teddybear.com/bearpatterns/bearpatternspage4.shtml) for this one I just had to make it immediately and keep with me  Smiley Smiley

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / patterns of DOGS on: September 15, 2006 01:29:07 PM
I need some patterns of dogs really badly Smiley Maybe someone knows where to get them? I am not sure what kind of dog I want so I would appreciate any pattern. (I have honestly run search but without much success Smiley)
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / One Very Serious Bear on: August 11, 2006 12:54:23 PM
My friend asked for a bear for her birthday:

Here's where I got the pattern: http://www.planet-teddybear.com/pdffiles/A_Teddy_two_Treasure.pdf, their bear looks like this:

but mine turned out rather differently since he's made from faux suede (isn't easy to find mohair where I live, if possible at all  Sad)
His arms, legs and head can turn which makes me very proud Smiley Smiley
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / A horse who probably had some hippos in the family :) on: July 19, 2006 01:18:06 AM
Here's my second toy - a horse for my friend. When she asked for a horse I told her straight away it won't be a graceful noble beast, but neither of us expected the result to turn out SO funny Smiley Smiley Smiley
I used a pattern in the Bean Bag Buddies book (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0715309927/102-5540848-9144124?v=glance&n=283155) - there is one pattern with minor variations for a horse, a bear, a rhino and a hippo, and I guess hippo would be the best from it Cheesy

Somehow I screwed up the tail and attached it ridiculously low, I wanted to change it but my friend said it was ok Smiley
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / paper lantern (candle holder) on: July 16, 2006 08:48:51 PM
Here's a paper lantern I made from a gift box, some organza scraps and lace. It's not very safe but if you are careful and do not turn it over, it's ok Smiley

6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / One little dragon with brown eyes, taking his first steps out of the lair on: July 16, 2006 05:03:01 PM
This is my first toy, a dragon I made for my boyfriend. Have to wait a while untill we meet and I can give him the gift, but I just have to show it to somebody Smiley
He sits on my shoulder when I'm reading and likes to hide under my t-shirt so that only his tail is sticking out, and at nights he sleeps in my underwear drawer...I feel that it will be really hard for me to finally part with him Smiley
Sorry, the pictures were taken with my phone camera which sucks, but I couldn't wait till my Mom gets back from a vacation with a normal camera Smiley He's made from grey velvet. The wings are attached a but assymetrical as can be seen on the third picture, but I guess I'll live with it Smiley
Here's where I took the pattern from: http://www.wyrm.org.uk/cuddly/beanbag.html - the sewing inctructions there are really good.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / just another ruffle skirt from old jeans on: April 18, 2006 04:39:46 PM
This is nothing special, but it was my first attempt at reconstructing Smiley Old jeans -> new skirt.
(I used to think that finding a pair of useless jeans was easier! Every pair I took made me think "oh no, it would be a pity to destroy them, I'd certainly wear them again" I guess it's just me Smiley

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / A bag to carry my whistle with me..and other stuff on: April 18, 2006 04:32:03 PM
Made this bag because I started to learn to play whistle and didn't have any bag quite wide enough to carry it along with me Smiley I still would like to decorate it somehow but I'm using it already while I'm still thinking on it..

Here's the bag:

And the pocket for my treasured whistles (too bad I didn't know I'd have two of them when I was making the bag, or I'd make two pockets Smiley )

And some more pockets on the other side (there's a zipped one, too)

So I needed just a bag for the whistle and then I ended up with one that fits tons of useful stuff.
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / black&grey, flowers and a running horse - that's a messenger bag for my friend on: December 21, 2005 08:27:27 PM
I made a new year present for my best friend and I can't help showing it to somebody since I can't show it to her before new year Smiley
I fell in love with the lining fabric! If I didn't love my friend more than everybody in this world, I would be so sad to part with it  Grin Grin I like that the flowers kind of don't look too girly if you know what I mean.
She loves horseback riding so I thought I'd decorate the bag with this leather horse applique. Can you believe I hand stiched it all the way round, and it took me like an hour, and then I was ironing it and accidentally burned the horse's tail with my iron! I was so mad. I'm proud I had the patience to cut out a new horse and start it all over again! Smiley

Here's the front:

with the flap opened:

and inside: it has a zippered pocket and a cell phone pocket (it can be seen on the left with a phone sticking out)

10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Little "patchwork" bag: blue faux fur and plain black on: December 03, 2005 07:26:05 AM
Here is the latest of mine: I used scraps of blue faux fur and black fabric for the outer part and nice black and white fabric for the lining. (I'm not sure if the lining matches but i liked the fabric so much that had to use it) Thanks Randa326 for a tutorial (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49235.0) that helped me to figure out the zipper part Smiley

I had to stich the stupid squares together by hand because it was such a pain to make my machine sew straight - the fur kept sliding sideways.
It has a zipped pocket inside and a cell phone pocket which didn't turn our very prettyl...but it holds the phone anyway so I don't mind Smiley

I also made a hat (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/ronyo/shapka14.jpg) and hand-warmers-thingies (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/ronyo/warmers.jpg)of the same faux fur (didn't think such a small leftover piece of fur would make so many useful things!) so now they all are going to match Smiley Smiley
