11  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Just what you need, another song list... but it's a good one! on: February 10, 2007 04:17:22 PM
I'd say collage it - print stuff off all fancy, make the sleeve or use the original one thats in there - measure off one anyways, will make it easier - then stick and paste Smiley

Your guardian angel definitely... my boyfriend introduced me to that song, and he gets a little choked up listening to it, so... yeh Smiley

Nobody loves you (like I do) - Reuben
Night drive - Jimmy eat world
Heartbeats - Jose Gonzales
Letters to you - Finch
Don't push love away - The juliana theory
The adventure - Angels and airwaves
You'll get there - Inme
Southern girl - Incubus

Plus just about any of dashboard's tunes :p

Got into it now, resolved to search through all my mix cds to find more... might take a while...

Until the day I die - Story of the year (not very romantic, but chorus is "you have my heart" kinda thing....)
14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Any alternative looking people over 21? on: January 18, 2007 03:47:44 AM
I know it's going slightly off the topic, and I'm only 16, but...
When I wanted my lip pierced, (which I now have, among other piercings Smiley) it created a massive rift between me and my parents, specially my mum - I knew we were a fairly middle class family, but based on the way I dressed, acted, had my hair/makeup... I didn't think it would be all that much of a difference. But my mum was really against it, and eventually her true feelings came out about body piercings - that they look dirty and disgusting, and that she would assume, when seeing someone with numerous facial piercings etc - that they were bad news, maybe violent, maybe on drugs - basically scum of the earth type of thing. She believed that, despite my good grades, lovely "normal " friends etc.... that I would turn into some kind of piercing monster once I had had it done!
THAT made me feel way more mature than her - no one in college has ever said a bad thing about it, neither the shop I work in or the customers I serve - a fair amount of them being middle-aged or older.
I think that any comments like this just prove how immature/narrowminded the person commenting is - and kudos to the commented for living and looking how they like Smiley

American cream from lush is the conditioner I use, and that smells gorgeous - sexy spicy vanilla kinda scent, it's lovely Smiley
16  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Looooooong time lurker, first time poster (IMG HEAVY) on: December 28, 2006 04:04:06 AM
Gorgeous  Grin
When I've had clothes I've altered just fall apart at the seams, sometimes it turns out to be cos I used the wrong needle - a needle that can stitch through layers of denim just pummels straight through thin jersey fabric, for example, and the fabric tears where I've stitched because it's just been annialated.
Just an idea, that top's way too cute to fall apart!

Pretty.... has it got any boning/interfacing/sturdy stuff in it? Cos it looks structured, almost as if the top were a proper corset.... Also, I think the eyes are Avril Lavigne's  Smiley (and I have no idea how I know that)
18  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Old to new! My first totally easy recon! on: November 12, 2006 02:57:44 AM
That is the spiffiest chair I HAVE EVER SEEN. Good job, and it looks so much better now Smiley
19  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Re: VISITING LONDON, NEED ADVICE! on: September 29, 2006 04:19:50 AM
I second Brick Lane, it has the coolest vintage shops, and camden market's good but beware - it's huge! and it's not exclusively vintage, it has alot of punk/fetish/grunge/hippie etc tec stuff - which is mint, but it can take a while to track down what you're actually looking for.
20  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Crafty But Stupid: YOUR CRAFT RELATED INJURIES HERE! on: August 03, 2006 12:39:45 PM
Everytime I'm pinning fabric I poke my finger tips with needles. The fact that I normally pin things the wrong way (just learning how to sew), doesn't help.

My fingertips hurt. Sad Maybe I will develop callouses one day. Tongue
Try not having a mannequin, but now being dedicated to taking the time to getting clothes to fit right - I continually try the things on, chock-full of needles, generally poking/impaling myself several times a fit... oh, and changing clothes when holding pins in my mouth, resulting in getting a poked tongue - ouch. Though, with the amount of pins I drop around the place, its a miracle I haven't got one stuck in my foot yet....heh.
