sigh.....that made me go arrrrg....it's cute though.  Is that gold paint or brownish? it's hard to tell by the picture

It's actually black, the paint wasn't dry yet.

I like the stars, it adds a nice touch to what would be a much more plain shirt.  Yay!

Get it??

The paint was still wet when I took the picture, so it looks a bit off in a way.  But yeah, this is what happens when you're thinking before sleep.

It's adorable!!  I had wanted to put skulls on my boyfriends pirate blanket I made, but I didn't have the patience.

awww thanks. yeah all i have is a tape of his stuff, it was my dads... its hard to download a lot of his stuff...

Soulseek him baby!!  That's how I got most of mine after I gave up my collection.  And I love the shirt!  I was thinking about making a Sinatra shirt, but I've never been able to make a decent stencil of him.

Wow, I absolutely love the shirt, especially the fading effect in the colors!
8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: Sigh, getting kinda discouraged with my etsy shop... on: October 30, 2005 12:11:13 PM
Hey Sewki, what kind of places have you been advertising in ?

I've just been advertising through livejournal right now because I don't have spare money to BUY space.  But with my old site, I went through madradhair and a few other random places.  Doing a mixture of both types of advertising helps a lot, plus I did a LOT of flyering for my last site!  So test a few things out, hopefully you'll at least get the word out, if not make some sales.
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Checkered hat. on: October 30, 2005 06:48:15 AM
this is probably gonna seem like a really idiotic question, but how did you do that with the hat? i have been crocheting for a while but i dont know how to do intricate and advanced things to well and this seems as though it may be a harder project for me.  is there any way you can post the pattern somehow? i LOVE the way teh hat looks, especially in white abd black and i would love to try it...

I'd love to give a pattern, but... I don't know how to write them!! Sad  I'm self-taught, and I can't even READ patterns!  Pretty much how the checkers came along was when my boyfriend said he wanted a checkered scarf, I messed around with the idea for awhile and came up with something that's actually pretty simple to make!  With the hat, I just did the checkered rows and crocheted on from there!  I'm sorry I can't give better details, I'm so terrible at explaining things!!

I can kind of relate to you when it comes to pricing.  I've had my shop up for about two weeks now, and I have made some sales... but I'm not selling my stuff for what I NEED to to make much of a profit.  I'm averaging 3 dollars an hour! Sad  My suggestion though... advertise, especially in jewelry related places!!  It's worked for me, I've even gotten a few custom orders out of it.  So if you haven't already been doing so, start!!  And hey, if that doesn't work, at least using etsy until Nov. 1st is risk-free!
