Yes...but I wasn't sure what a good beginning spinning wheel would be.
23  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Buying a Spinning Wheel? on: June 05, 2006 08:26:50 AM
First and foremost, I don't have a large amount of cash. I'm wanting to stay under $200, if I possibly could. Does anyone know where I can find a reliable spinning wheel for around that price? It doesn't seem as if any stores here in St. Louis carry them...
24  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Weight Loss Recipes? on: May 25, 2006 08:53:14 AM
Thanks, everyone!

I've been getting more creative in the kitchen. I'm really picky when it comes to vegetables, unfortunately, but I love all fruits. That's why it's hard for me to get the stuff I NEED.

I made some AWESOME pancakes yesterday. yes, I know: pancakes? healthy? But, they are called "Desperately Healthy Pancakes" and they were made with whole wheat flour and wheat germ, unprocessed bran, etc etc. They were really good, too!

I used 100% cotton yarn on the green hat! Just a FYI!
28  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Re: Buying a drop spindle -- need advice (pics!) on: May 10, 2006 09:25:01 AM
I bought a spindle from the last lady.

She's a real peach, and it's the only spindle I use. It's positively easier than any other spindles I have tried...and the vine decoration is cute Smiley She gave me some extra fibers that weren't listed in the auction, as well.
