ok i just spent about half an hour flipping through all the pages in this topic and I LOVE LOVE LOVE everyone's hair!
now I would love some input on my hair idea
I'm 14 and just started freshmen year of high school (love it!)
since the beginning of 8th grade, I've had black and blonde hair.. natural color, blonde, on top w/black under
like this!:
but I want to go CRAZY and mom says we can when my dad (rather conservative) leaves for a business trip to the other side of the world.
now for the questions
what I want to do:
black all over w/ a fire engine red chunk on the side near the front

1. Recommended brand dye?
2. about how long will it last and what do i do when my blonde roots start to show?
3. will i end up looking incredibly stupid?

sorry for all the words, thanks!

6  My Hope Wall (what is it?) *pic obese* in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by RubberDuckys on: May 05, 2007 03:15:52 PM
Not sure what to call this.. but at the Easter service at my church the bulletins were little books with about 30+ 3x5 church related artworks done by artists from Hope (church I go to) I really loved them and wanted to display the cards some attention-grabbing way so I took apart my book, as well as my parents' books, tons of paper clips, and a hole puncher and ended up with this!
sorry for big/oddly sized pics

full shot

7  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by RubberDuckys on: March 03, 2007 06:39:18 PM
Hair question....

What "natural" colors could I pull off? I'm going on a trip to NYC and Washington D.C. this summer and I want use one of those temporary dyes, but mom said no blues, pinks, greens, etc.
I'm on the far right in both pictures

any ideas would be much appreciated

8  The Cat Hat in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by RubberDuckys on: February 25, 2007 10:33:39 AM
I wanted something new to wear to a show type thing my friend's dad is taking my friends and me to (he won't tell us what it is so I have to clue what to call it).. anyways, I was looking around here for ideas last night and found this awesome hat https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=136109.0
then I found an old oversized winnie the pooh sweatshirt in the attic and cut it up to make this:

comments and criticism please!
by the way, I'm 14..

9  Re: Resin bottle cap pendants, advice needed! in Discussion and Questions by RubberDuckys on: February 13, 2007 11:24:01 AM
I started off with "easy cast" castin craft . LOVE IT!

1.make sure you store it inside though.. I used to keep mine outside during winter and it turned yellow and wouldn't release the bubbles.

2.Work outside though, away from any animals or kids because it spreads EXTREMELY easily, but let them harden inside (after they're mixed) to keep them at a more even temperature

3. if you are going to cast them in a mold, use resin mold release and what I do to pop them out quickly is take my dad's little can of compressed air( we use office max brand) flip it upside down and spray it on the mold.. it is SUPER SUPER cold and gets them out very quickly

4. use an old paintbrush to pain resin on a picture or item before you put it in the bottlecap or mold, this will make sure there are no air bubbles.

5. for cleanup, use rubbing alcohol not water

6. if you want to use a mold over and over again, get one designed for resin.. I recently used a soap mold because I needed a bunch of little hearts and the resin ruined the mold but the hearts are perfect , so soap molds are for one time use only

all of that may sound scary but once you get started with resin it is so much fun and you have the step up, because I learned all of that from experience

i posted a LOOONG way back saying that I was dying my hair black underneath and I showed a picture of the temorary dye before I got the permanent. I just did the second go-round of permanent this last weekend and used a different dye... the parts that weren't black before are BLUE! and I LOVE it!
ok enough chatter, my friend took this pic and it's one of the only pictures of me I actually like
