1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Sanding/Painting a Chair on: June 09, 2009 07:14:50 PM
Ok so I have this chair I am reupholstering and want to paint it a dark brown, it's my first time doing something like this. I was downstairs sanding and thought to myself do I really have to sand all the way through to bare wood or just lightly? How much would you recommend? Secondly, when I go to actually paint it should I use primer on the chair? And is there any certain type of paint I should use?

Ugly chair

I love the first one! I clicked on this hoping it would be a tutorial for a normal sized purse and not a mini coin thing =[. but they are still very cool.

I love how you made the TV section into a closet! I have an old entertainment thing just like that in the basement. If only I thought of this before my baby was born (and there was room in her room lol).

I have wanted to make these ever since this post was just a baby, but I can't bring myself to put out the money for a glass cutter I will only use once and the string and fire method seems very tedious. If only there was another way to make these wonderful things.

That's a great idea! I would have never thought of doing something like that!

So I was just wondering does anyone know what kind of fabric those foam halloween costumes are made out of and where i could buy it?

all it says is "Banana Costume is Foam Fabrics."

Because me and my friend want to be marshmallows and I figured thats a good thing to make it out of right? lol

also what kind of stitch and thread should i use for that?

Me and my friend want to be marshmallows for a party this sat and we have no idea what we should do to make ones that are cheap, easy, and don't look bad. We don't want to use cardboard or anything because it's too hard to move around and stuff any ideas?
