I have been thinking of how to accomplish this very thing!  Good on ya!  I hope you don't mind, but i will attempt to recreate your genius idea this evening, I have plenty of sugar n cream at home.  Wish me luck.

I second the request for a pattern!!  Very lovely!  I live in Florida so most crochet wearables are a bit warm for the weather here.  This would be perfect for wearing with a tank top at night or even in the fall!  Bravo!
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: crocheted and felted purse for fall on: November 08, 2007 05:22:01 AM
Great job!  I am making a purse to felt as well.  I, personally, hate sc so it keeps being place by the wayside.  Did you use sc or hdc for your purse?  I am not against frogging mine back and use hdc, for some reason that stitch is much faster for me.  I have never felted anything and the pattern I am "following" calls for sc, so I am trying to be good and use that stitch.  Do you think hdc will felt as nice?  thanks!  and, again, awesome work!!!

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Favorite/Most Hated Yarn on: October 23, 2007 07:42:08 PM
Love-  any 100% cotton, Paton's SWS love the way it feels and stripes, Koigu when I can afford it I buy as much as I can, as far as acrylic ummm "I love this Yarn", from hobby Lobby and Caron SS.  I am going crazy trying to find and waiting until I can spend the money on some bamboo!

Hate- Red Heart SS i hate the sound it makes on my hook, I tried plastic and I live in the south something about the humidity that made the yarn have an even worse sound than the sound on metal hooks (imagine the sound of 50 whining kittens and finger nails on a chalk board).  All eyelash yarns or the strange "ribbon" yarns, TLC Amore and last but not least, HOMESPUN!  I made an entire blanket with Homespun and by the time I was done I was ready to hook out my own eyes!

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: yarn storage idea! on: October 06, 2007 05:40:36 PM
Just hit "this Rocks"!!!  I want one.  The only draw back I see for myself is the other half will be able to see just how much yarn I have.  Ahhhh who cares, I can still hide some hehehehehe
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: What glue is best on: October 02, 2007 05:02:20 AM
I use this stuff you can get at any craft store called Liquid Stitch.  I use it on everything!  Im a short girl and my sewing skills are rather lacking and I cant afford to have every pair of work pants altered.  You can wash it, dry it, iron (only aft it is dry) it.  When it comes out of the tube it looks and smells like Elmer's glue.  It dries almost clear.  I hope this helps!
