Thanks y'all. =)
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Monster Truck Wall Art. on: June 05, 2010 10:29:32 AM

My 2 year old son loves monster trucks. And since what he wants, he usually gets, we've accquired an abundance of these cheaply made "flags" that come with said monster trucks... My dad always insisted "take them, don't throw them away, you can do something with them!" Well, once again, dad knows best. I was annoyed by the lack of "stuff" on my son's walls, so I sewed the flags together and now he's got his own custom wall hanging! I just have to get a wooden dowel and get it hung up...It's not perfect, but my son loves it. ("Mommy! My monster truck flag so pretty ...I like it!") =)

It's about 30" wide and 20" tall.

I think your new cover is superb! The fabric is great and it looks like it fits very well! I wouldn't worry about it in a crash as the fabric has absolutely NOTHING to do with the stability of the plastic of the car seat. Realistically, cars don't go up in flames like you see in movies and I think this whole hoopla over the safety is getting thrown way out of proportion...  Kudos to you, because that cover looks much nicer than ones I've seen in stores!

Adorable! I bought that same fabric to do the lining of my diaper bag! =D
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: Pooh-licious infant mittens on: January 07, 2008 05:39:06 PM
They look adorable!

I used mittens on my infant for all of 2 days..(My son absolutely hated mittens.) But in that time he wasn't all that active, so truthfully the ribbon should be just fine loosely tied (I know all babies are different, but I've never seen an extremely active newborn..)

Come to think of it, it was probably the elastic that was annoying him so badly.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Recon'd hoodie into dino hoodie. on: January 05, 2008 02:09:56 PM
That is sooo cute!!! I'll have to make one for my son for winter.

I thought the idea was great, and I'm sure your son will look just as cute as a dinosaur! =D

That's absolutely adorable!

We don't get ANY snow here.. I take that back, once, when I was 3, it snowed and we made a 6 inch tall snowman. Yours is definitly better. =)

I LOVE that material.

It looks really nice! Good job. I've made a few purses and always put slots for pens and such, but never thought to use elastic. ...Now next time I'll know better. Grin
