1  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Planning huge party, what to do for food? on: August 12, 2007 07:17:05 AM
Hi

I'm renting out a hall and planning a halloween party. The capacity is 250 people and I don't know what to do for food. GAH. I'm not sure exactly how many people will show up but it will definitely be at least 100.

What to do for food? I've never planned anything this big before. It's going to be from 7pm to midnight. I am going to set up a candy buffet and there will be a cash bar there, so people will probably want to snack as they drink.

Ideas for food that will be okay sitting out for a few hours? Something easy I can do for that many people?

Thanks!
Jen

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Edited: HELP ME DECORATE THIS ROOM (pics) Woodwork and red couches. on: February 06, 2007 03:13:20 PM
Hello,

I have a bedroom with a loft, I decided to move my bed into the loft (for a cozy romantic space) and turn my actual bedroom into a tv room, w/couches ect that my friends can come and hang out in too.

Can you suggest a color scheme that will work with red couches and med woodwork? Ideas for what to paint the walls? We are both 23 and would like something funky, bold, modern but a little (very little, HAHA) bit sophisticated.

We can paint, it will be a lot of work, but if we REALLY want the color we are allowed to paint.

Here are some pics, keep in mind they are dark, the woodwork is a tad lighter. Also, none of the stuff in the pictures are mine...they were sent to me before I moved in.
