1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Rockabilly Cherry Halter Dress on: June 19, 2005 09:14:05 PM
Ok, so I'm looking all over ebay for this AWESOME dress and can't find it! I think it would fit me and I have the boobs to fill them. Is it still up or did it sell already? I wouldn't blame you if you decided to keep it though. When I grow up I want to be a seamstress too!  Smiley

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: online stores for katia on: June 09, 2005 05:52:17 AM
Yeah, I thought they would too. That was one of the first places I checked. I may just have to special order it from my LYS. I'll have to get the entire bag of each color though. hmph....going to go continue my search.

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / online stores for katia on: June 08, 2005 09:35:25 PM
I just got the new Katia pattern book (no. 48) and am dying to make some of the patterns, ok, most of them, but I can't find all the yarns being called for and would love to work with some of them. Anyone know where I can find katia cotton club or perla online? I've searched for about 5 hours over the past two days before checking here. I'm hoping someone knows where I can get these yarns. PLEASE HELP!!! Aching for new projects!!!

Sheila, that is awesome! I'm so glad you got it finished! It looks beautiful on you. I'm glad the forum helped you. The yarn looks shiny or is that the varigation? Did you use the frappe? I hope to see it in person some day soon.

WOOHOO!!! I finally finished my tempting! I'll try to post pics soon. I thought it was going to be too small, but it's so cute! I made it in DB Cashmerino in lilac and went to joanns to find ribbon today but was ticked at the inefficiency of the line to get ribbon cut, so i left. i'm glad i did too...after i got finished i remembered that i had bought a pair of lime green trousers that came with a pink ribbon w/ wh polka dots for a belt. i really didn't like the way it looked so i just took it off months ago and never used it. wow...it looks so cute. it is staying off the shoulders and not falling down. i'll get a pic made at work tomorrow i'm sure for the screenshow on the comp. for all the world to see...ok, tampa bay to see anyway...(i work at my LYS.) I'll try to post it here too.

7  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: Hurry Up Spring Armwarmers on: March 28, 2005 04:02:58 PM
ugh...i'm so frustrated with myself. i completely finished these armwarmers, seams and everything, then when i tried them on the R one fit perfectly but the L was too big! i must have gotten really comfortable with the pattern b/c it is way too loose so i frogged the entire thing....again. i did the R one twice too. the first time i worked from the inside of the skein of noro and didn't like the colors i got so i frogged and reknit from the outside to get the prettier colors. don't think i'll do the L one yet though. i need a break. i'm almost done with tempting and about 4-5 inches in on "sexie". i'll get it done in the next couple of weeks. thanks for listening to me vent. i knew you would understand.

I cast of for this sweater yesterday and i'm already about 8 inches in and not finished knitting for the day! i love this pattern and yarn. even more, i love how fast its working up. i may make one for my sister who is getting married on the beach in july for her honeymoon cruise. heck, i may make one for my other sister too for that matter. we'll have matching sweaters and be all cutsy! lol. hopefully i'll finish it this weekend. my hubby is coming home tuesday and i would love to wear it for him then. i'm doing the small and hoping it won't be too tight. a little nervous about that, but if it is, i'll give it to my sis and make me another one.

10  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: "Tempting" knitalong - Winter Knitty on: March 19, 2005 06:39:51 AM
I'm so glad I checked out this thread before starting this sweater (i was about to get offline and go cast on). I have heard a lot of you say that this stretches a lot. I have a 38 in chest and i want the sweater to fit like it does on the model on knitty. I'm also losing weight too if that helps in the advice. Should I make the S then? I want it to be form fitting, but not ultra tight either. I'm using the rec yarn in lilac. I would like to start this asap as it is perfect weather for it!
