How sweet of you to do that for him!
Do they have +12 arcane and +6 spirit? Such things are /essential/ for gloves worn in WoW.

Poison... how long does it take to make each set of earrings/each item? Price accordingly.

If a pair of earrings takes you half an hour then you are being paid fairly for your time. If they take you longer then you should charge more.

Your photographs are wonderful though, I love the borders. =)

You have to upload that picture first!

Pain isn't it?
5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: How's your Etsy shop doing now? on: December 31, 2007 12:36:09 PM
My shop has sold 1 item in 9 months.

I have however re-done ALL of my photographs today and shall be spending my New Years uploading them!!!!!!!!!

The only problem is that craftster has no marketplace. If it did then I wouldn't even think twice about going to etsy to try and sell my products!!

etsy is a LOT of work and I'd say that at least 60% of the sellers on there are all about themselves, maybe more. There is a community spirit within the rest but lets face it - we're all here to make money so let's not gloss over that too much.

The lengths that some people will go to to get sales though are pretty appalling. Littering their self promotion all over the place (to the point where they'll just copy and paste the same message "look at my new items!" over and over into threads where it just isn't relevant).

There are some good people on there.

I have no idea about individual seller views. If you have a good shop then "favourites" is a good indication of how many people are viewing your shop every day. However some sellers just "heart" you to try and sell you stuff! The cheek...

Until a better solution comes along I'll be sticking with etsy, even if it does drain so much time out of my life! =P

I'm trying to work on getting a better overall look and my pictures. Any suggestions. I am not too busy sales wise, so now is a great time to revamp and improve my shop. I'd love any suggestions. I need a bit of help.

I really love all of your stuff! Your pictures are great, way more professional than other clothes shops I've seen. =)

I don't have any suggestions, I'm adding a bunch of your skirts to my favourites for when I actually make some money.
8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: pretty packaging , show me yours on: December 30, 2007 10:57:46 AM
These packagings put mine to shame!

I'll use tissue paper, ribbons or plain brown paper to wrap mine in. I know that I love receiving "presents" so I try to keep along that theme when sending out items.

Don't get disheartened if you don't make a million sales straight away? Like 90% of having an etsy shop is promotion and networking with other like-minded sellers.

It is difficult to get yourself noticed in such a massive marketplace, especially when the means for promotion on there are soooooo limited sometimes.

You just need to have heart and make sure you can afford to put up quite a few items to begin with to make sure you get the search result coverage you need.

Good luck!
10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: Number of Etsy Sellers on: December 30, 2007 10:54:33 AM
Just look at how many are on eBay though! =)

I'm not discouraged, I'm thrilled! A lot of the sellers on etsy basically sell their products and then use their takings to buy other etsy products. Wink SOMEBODY must be making those sales to keep etsy in business!

So I think it's pretty awesome. Not all of the sellers are active either.
