1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / aprons for little ladies on: December 31, 2010 09:23:01 AM
Im a long time lurker, first time poster. I owe alot to this community for inspiration, and this project is no exception. I borrowed a few ideas from here when coming up with this pattern.

These are Christmas gifts for my nieces, ages 5 and 2.

The older one is a little girlier, so I used pink and purple trim. She loved the sparkly buttons.

The younger one is a little more tomboyish, so I trimmed it accordingly. It might be a little too boyish, but cute enough that I dont think it matters.

The adjustable neck worked better, too bad I didnt think of it sooner. I prefer the pocket on the little one, too, but Im not sure it would have worked as well on the larger size.

Incredible attention to detail. How long did it take you to stitch all that by hand?

Is casting resin available at most craft stores?
These are badass. Do they weigh very much?

I love how you left the edges raw and used twine to tie (have you found the twine itchy?), this is so elegant and lovely, beautiful work.
