1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Tooth necklaces (image heavy) on: March 17, 2011 01:48:19 PM
I made these in my metal class in uni, they aren't real teeth but resin casts from my friends wisdom teeth Smiley

And they all have a tooth t-bar:

I would have loved to do them in silver, but couldn't due to cost/materials avaliable. However I quite like the copper/white combination.

What do you thing? Smiley
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Guardian tooth fairies (image heavy) on: March 17, 2011 01:08:13 PM
So I haven't been on here in, gosh it must be years! But I'm now at uni and studying Dec arts. And am so so proud of my recent embroidery project.

I was looking at teeth.... see a post in jewellery soon :p

and decided to make little guardian tooth fairy characters where you could pop your tooth while waiting for the tooth fairy to collect it.

So here they are :

From left to right: Guardian, Pirate, Cowboy, King, Nurse, Vampire, Boy and Girl.

I then decided to package them all up and give them names:

Hehe I'm so pleased SmileySmiley

I have got a bit more work to do so might add to this Smiley

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Binding with single pages on: February 22, 2009 10:38:26 AM
This is going to sound a little silly as I'm not sure it is possible, but I have started some pages in my sketchbook for uni and have decided that I want to make it into a book so it is a little more personal, problem is, as I have already started it, I can't fold the pages thus can bind it. Does anyone know how I can bind it without folding the pages.

Thanks Smiley
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Nu-Rave weddign dress on: May 27, 2008 06:48:31 AM
For my A2 textiles coursework I decided to make a Nu-Rave style wedding dress.
However I decided to have the bride in black and the groom in white. However, I had fallen out with my best friend who i was going to get the wear the white suit (he's a boy btw, lol) so i'm in the pics on my own. everyone thought i was mad in my school quad. there is only 5 of us in textiles and we're in our own block so no one knows what we get up to.

Anyway, photos;

i feel i should give some details...lol.
the bodice is a corset made from a basic block pattern.
it is made from interfacing, polycotton and organza all held together by free hand embrodiery. it is fully lined and boned. it also has a size zip. the corseting is made from textured yarns hand braided in my tutorial lessons. lol.
the skirt is black tulle (15m) fully gathered. the top is the same amount of organza all gathered and double hemmed.
the nu-rave pannel is made of colour fabrics, sequins etc all free hand emboridered between dissovable fabric and attached.
