I like the shortness of it, but any patterns would be great to see.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / This is going to sound funny but 'Help A Guy Out!' on: June 13, 2008 04:32:41 PM
Okay, I hope no one is going to freak out on me. lol

First of all, I am a male.

Then why am I posting in this forum? Eh?

Well... In a play I am going to beperforming as a woman.

And as a male I am rather curvacious, so as a female I can only hope to be a glamorous and curvacious as possible.

I wish you could see me, I'm laughing so hard while I type this! lol

But I am looking for a formal gown pattern, something that I can dance in. I don't need anything that is too revealing up top, seeing as how everything up there is fake! lol

Anyway, who knows of any patterns of the such?

Thank you so much!

Much Love!

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Victorian Bustle Dress - Senior Project on: June 08, 2008 10:57:07 PM
At my school to as a requirement to graduate, the schools have decided to make the class below me, 2010, complete a Senior Project.

This project includes, but is not limited to:
 - 8-10 Page Research Paper.
 - A Solid Thesis gained from Research.
 - A Completed Relevent Product.
 - A 5-15 Minute Presentation in front of a panel of judges.

In my AP English III class, we were given the pleasure to be the Guinea Pigs for this project.

For mine I chose to research Victorian Fashion. That part was interesting enough...

But the real interesting part was my product, for this I had decided to sew a Victorian Bustle Dress.

Hours upon Hours of work... No Fun!

But I finished, and I'm almost positive I passed with flying colors.

Anyway, here are some pictures.

My Loverly BFF - Xiao Fu.

No lie, one of the judges thought this picture was taken back in Victorian Times in Asia... I had just taken it the day before he saw it. I laughed. lol

A Full-View of The Dress.

Just follow that link to get to The Full Album.

I just wanted to share, hope everyone likes it.

[EDIT] Password for photobucket is:

It's a view only password, so I don't have to worry about anyone messing me up. lol
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Umm... Help! on: January 08, 2008 04:12:35 PM
So, I've been commissioned by a friend to try and recreate a dress for her... Normally, that'd be easy. I'm a good seamstress... even though I'm a guy... lol

Anyway, This...

Is the skirt. It's a two peice dress with an overbust corset on top.

The rest of the dress can be seen through the link.

I really need help finding a skirt pattern for something similar... So, Umm... Help?

My party's on saturday(28th) and this on top of everything else is starting to pile up... *tear* Please help...

7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Finding someone to Commission a Clay Sculpture: Please Read! on: September 27, 2006 07:16:32 PM
For my parent's 26th anniversary, I'm looking to commission someone to sculpt a caketopper of my parents for very sentimental reasons.

When my parent's got married, it was a very small wedding but they had a "normal" sized cake. My parents have never had a honeymoon because of the fact that my father was and still is in the military and had to go back to work the very next day let alone take time off for a Honeymoon.

Haveing leftover cake my father had been giving it away to anyone one who lived near them and by accident gave away their caketopper.

So, I'm writing this very rushed and hurried, but the basis of it is, I would really like for someone to make them a cake-topper of both of them in full dress, of course since it's a commission a good proce will be payed for it.

Please contact me if you are interested in doing this, I really want this to be a special gift for them and I'm searching high and low for someone to do it.

Thanks for your time.

8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Displaying Multiple Photographs Without Using Frames on: September 27, 2006 11:52:50 AM
I've recently redone my room... Even though I still have to find someone to put up crownmolding, find a way to hang up my clothes on something that fit into the "scheme" of my room, and repaint my dresser.

BUT, anyway. I love taking pictures, mostly of my friends. I'm an avid photobucket user with 242 pictures in my main album, and 364 pictures in my cell phone picture album... I told you I love taking pictures.

As the title says, I'm looking for a way to display photographs in my room. I would constantly be changing the photos out for new ones so I don't really want to frame, unframe, frame, etc... and I'd rather not pin them to the wall or a corkboard, so I was think something with magnets. Any Ideas?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Crafts for High School Marching Band Fundraiser. on: August 21, 2006 09:01:57 PM
Our High School's Marching Band is for lack of a better word... Poor. We're working our way towards getting new band uniforms. Our School is great, it's just that we don't have the funds we'd like. We have support from our school board to have the class, It's just that, like I said, we don't have the best finacial support.

To make a long story short, We need money. At our latest band booster meeting we discussed things to sell at our football games and fundraisers.

We had some ideas, but I said that I'd "put out a bulletin" as I always tell people when I say I'll post on Craftster or any of my other forums.

So, any Ideas are welcome.

Our School Colors are Black and Gold which is commonly portraied with Yellow.

Our Band symbol is http://photos1.blogger.com/img/11/2258/1024/Galewarning.jpg

This is our school's website. http://www.pamlico.k12.nc.us/Schools/PCHS/index.html

Thanks is advance for any help.
