3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Matryoshka / Russian Stacking Dolls / Babushka Swap? on: August 31, 2010 10:52:54 PM

My new obsession has been matryoshkas! I currently have a matryoshka laptop case, measuring cups, glass cups, and key rings! I can't get enough of the cuteness. Would anyone else be interested in a matryoshka swap?
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Copyright infringement? on: August 25, 2010 12:03:03 AM
I am in the process of the crafting for the ott mustache swap, and I noticed on my partner's etsy, that she favorited a few vintage photographs and postcards of men with mustaches (i.e. http://www.etsy.com/listing/52277816/1911-vintage-postcard-couple-rowing-by). Could I now print and use those images to make some extra goodies for her? Or is that a big no-no? I hope that made sense; it is ridiculously late and I am so out of it haha. Thanks so much for your help!
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Tie-Dye, Neapolitan, Pearlescent and Glittery Star Beads! on: November 02, 2009 11:46:32 AM
I just bought some Wilton fondant cutters and figured that they would work just as well on clay! So I got carried away and made a bunch of star beads! I then coated them with Mod Podge to make them shiny and added glitter to others. Please let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking!

6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Sparkly Gun and Star Magnets! on: October 27, 2009 10:30:57 PM
So, I have had these sparkly magnet sheets probably since I was in middle school. I always seem to hoard things that I am too scared of using up. After stumbling upon them again, I decided to finally put them to use! So thinking of naturally shiny things, I came up with stars and a gun? Who knows haha. Any comments are greatly appreciated  Cheesy! Also, does anyone have any suggestions of other sparkly magnets I can make?

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Tiny Objects in Tiny Bottles! (Image Heavy) on: October 11, 2009 01:29:33 PM
So, I found a listing for a bunch of tiny bottles (like 32 mm tiny) and knew I had to buy them! Anyway I have been messing around with them and came out with these in my experimentation. Please let me know what you think!

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Candy Land Recipe Cards! on: October 03, 2009 05:22:08 PM
So, this is technically my first real post, after years of creeping on this website! Anyway, a few years back I bought a giant candyland towel which came with all of the playing pieces (best purchase ever! Cheesy) I still use the towel, but have always had the pieces lying around, so I decided to use them to make mini notebooks / recipe cards! I bound them using a drill and some binding from an old notebook. 3 of them have heavy index cards inside, while one of them I used loose-leaf. I would absolutely love any sort of feedback!

Inside (excuse my terrible handwriting that makes me look like a 5 year-old boy):

9  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Interfacing on sweatshirt fabric? on: January 07, 2009 03:18:21 PM
I have finally decided to put my 50 or so youth group t-shirts from high school to use by making a t-shirt quilt. So far I have been using interfacing on the cotten t-shirts, however would it be advisable to put interfacing on sweatshirt and sweatpants squares also? As a poor college kid, I would definitely love to save some money on interfacing, as I feel that sweatshits won't stretch as much as t-shirts, but I also do not want to screw this up. Thanks so much for any help!
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Newspaper ceiling? on: June 13, 2007 08:42:18 PM
So, I am currently in the process of completely redoing my room. I am painting it a deep pinkish purple.. and I am having all the accessories be black. Currently, my ceiling is completely covered by a ridiculous amount of posters, but I am getting sick of a bunch of them. So, I was thinking of taking them all down and covering my ceiling with black and white newspaper (to go with the black theme). Now, I wanted other peoples opinions on whether or not this is a really stupid idea. I am really sick of the posters, too lazy to paint it and under the posters theres an abundance of glow stickers and purple paint marks. Any other ideas would be great too. Thanks!
