1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Decemberists T-Shirt Messenger Bag and Paint Chip Wallet! on: July 07, 2006 10:46:22 PM
My sewing machine is usually packed up because I have nowhere to put it, but I wanted to make a new bag for school, so I set it up.  Here it is:

poorly sewn pockets!

lined zipper pocket!

While I was at it, I decided to make one of those paint chip wallets too!

i lost my old wallet, so i'm pretty low on cards and such

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / death cab for cutie t-shirt to messenger bag on: September 28, 2005 04:21:05 PM
all of the t-shirts in my home are hiding from me, i am making them all into bags!

so, i've never made a messenger bag, and making this made me realize how much i LOATHE webbing.  i had no heavy-duty needles or anything, so i turned to my favorite adhesive, super glue!  it seems like it's holding up, but we'll see when my bag falls apart and my crap goes all over the school, haha.

you can't see, but the writing says "We Have The Facts And We're Voting"  and "Death Cab For Cutie"

starry lining and zipper pocket:

me wearing it, ooo, mirror:

i love wearing a democratic bag in nebraska, it got lots of odd looks and questions today, haha.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Jordy bag from Concert T-Shirt on: September 25, 2005 07:11:55 PM
I had this shirt from one of my favorite artist's concerts and there was a small hole in it, so I decided to make a purse out if it!  I haven't sewed in a year so there are some defects when you look at it in real life, haha.

Sorry about the picture quality, my camera is broken (Sad) and all I have is my camera phone.

Note the extremely cheesy palm tree-ish fabric.  it was on clearence and I found the cheesiness lovely.

Currently I am attempting to make a messenger bag out of a t-shirt and it is proving much harder than I anticipated.  I post pictures when I'm done (if i ever finish!).

So, what do you all think?
