1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Madame Bouvierre on: April 21, 2015 12:57:51 PM
Thank you all for the kind comments.  The yarn for the hair was a thrift store find; I love when I find yarn treasures hiding in their crafting sections.   Cheesy

Ever have one of those days or weeks or even months where nothing seems to go right.  It's not that anything horrible has happened, it's that all the little things are happening all at once.  That seems to be me this past month and a half.  I needed some creative therapy.  That is how Madame Bouvierre was born.  Someone had gifted me some lovely pewter and burgundy crochet threads and my hands were itching to make a finger puppet out of them.  I <3 yarn therapy; it makes everything better.

If anyone is interested, the pattern is available for free on my website:  http://crochetbot3000.com/2015/04/madame-bouvierre-5/

alwaysinmyroom, thank you.  My younger daughter might want this scarf for herself if it didn't have colors that matched or hearts on it.  She has a more eclectic style, which makes for some serious crafting fun especially when I want to thin down the yarn stash Smiley

My oldest daughter goes to a school that requires uniforms, but they can wear regular clothes on special occasions.  She told me a couple of days ago that she will be allowed to wear her favorite Dr. Who t-shirt to school on Valentine's Day as long as she wears something with a heart on it.  I had to think of something quickly and this is what I came up with.  Since my oldest daughter is at school, my youngest was forced very kindly volunteered to model it for me.

If anyone is interested in the pattern, it is up on my blog:  http://crochetbot3000.com/2014/02/hearts-on-a-string-scarf/

Thanks for looking!

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Aries Hat on: February 01, 2014 02:23:04 PM

My niece has been begging me to crochet her a hat and I finally had the time to make it.  Since it is nice and toasty out here in AZ, she has been wearing her hat with shorts and a t-shirt.  In fact, all of my kids are sporting winter hats and scarves with their shorts and sandals.  It looks a little weird, but they are happy so I'm happy Smiley

If anyone wants the pattern, it is up on my website:  http://crochetbot3000.com/2014/01/aries-hat/
