This is not my finished object, but I just HAD to give major kudos to the girl who did this Anthropologie-Capelet-inspired raglan sweater!  This thing is awesome!   Shocked

I plan to make one of these, too!

Me-Shell, yours is AWESOME!

You inspired me to get some regal silk.  I picked it up early October.  One question:  Does it stretch out and lose shape, since it's silk?  A lady at my LYS told me I should put something with it, like a mohair (eek?) or something to help it keep shape...  I told her, "but Me-shell did hers full-size in regal silk, and SHE didn't have to put mohair with it!!!"

Can't wait to start!  I'm working on TWO projects that have been on the needles for a while now, so I gotta finish them first.

Here's the color I chose.

3  Re: Paisley Necktie Schoolbag - NOW WITH TUTORIAL in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by kookoosp on: September 28, 2006 08:00:21 PM
I made another one.  Still not with ties, though.  Smiley

I made it for a friend of mine.  She loves it.  I think I might make one for myself now.  I used the strap off a REALLY ugly purse from Old Navy that I got for about $3 last summer.  I cut off all the ugly flourescent orange fabric and kept the good strap and zippers.  It suited the bag very well, I think.

I just wanted to add to the mix the one I finished for my 15 month old daughter!  It is Softee Chunky and  knit up in an hour and a half or so  Smiley

Aschenby, I FINALLY got around to making one of these with your mods!!  Here's my version, using KnitPicks Main Line double-strand.  Turned out to be three balls.  Excuse the pic if it's blurry...  All I have is a cell phone to take pics with right now...   Cheesy

The baby I made it for is having her first birthday already!  Whoops.  Was gonna make it a LOT earlier.  P.S.  My hands hurt.  Been knitting this and some other stuff non-stop since last night at midnight!

I made a couple of pairs of these back in the summer using Blue Sky Alpaca Cotton.  I'm back to making them again, as it seems like EVERYONE I know is getting knocked up.   Shocked

Summer 2005 @ the shower...

Another one March 2006 for the boss's daughter...

A work collegue asked me to make some for her future nephew and that she'd buy them!  How much?  I dunno yet.  Working on a blue pair with Lang Yarns in Eve.  This pattern is really easy and cute!

Ah, yes!  The "someone" is me!  I received my wallet from Island-Princess today!  It got here really fast!  Cheesy

The design is great, and she even put a label in it!  As soon as it got here, I put all my wallet stuff in it.  Thanks for such a great wallet!  We'll talk later about the tute....   Grin

Inside:  There are two diagonal pockets, plus there are pockets behind them.  Of course, there's the bill pocket at the top, as well.

Finished my second one today.  It took me a little longer since I kept falling asleep while knitting.  I also took a three-day hiatus from knitting for no good reason.  P.S.  I will never do that again!

I made the sleeves a little bit longer and went with the seed stitch instead of ribbing.  First time I've done seed stitching.  I did two rows of seed stitch around the bottom, too.

I also made the body just a tad longer.  Mister said the other one was too short.  What does he know?  But I thought I would try it.  And *shhhh!* he might have actually been right...

Here's the finished product in all of its glory.  I really like the way this one turned out.

Sorry for all the pics, but I really enjoy looking at everyone's pics, and in turn, sharing mine.  Cheesy  Hahaha.
