13  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / The "please dont hate me for taking so long" -THE TOVI CURLS -*TUTORIA*L post! on: November 17, 2005 06:04:32 AM
remember me? like a zilion years ago? from the humanges "show off your hair" post pg.100?
maybe this will remind you-

and now, very late...i keep my promiss-

ive got my B.A. in this subject... Wink so ill try to explain as many "non-wishfull-results" as i possably can!
i am trying to make a tutorial for DUMMIES, not that i am suggesting anyone here is a dommie!! but i do belive that every man and woman, regardless of their I.Q., have the right to own a good set of tovi curls!!!!!!! (please play your national antom in the backround!!)

so here goes-
i start by washing my hair at night and putting after drying well and combing  a good amount of hair cream (itll soak in the hair and keep the curl together)-

than i devide my hair to 2 parts- one part each side...)
and than i devide each side to 4 (total 8 groups of hair)
i do that while curling
you can also use pins to hold them
it dosnt have to be even thogh its recomended for best clean and simetric look...
and now photo-

start twisting around figer in one direction

twist untill it tight and even throw the full length-

when you finish one, take the next part next to it and curl it in the oppozite diraction
while you do that- put the finnished one end between your lips to prevent twisting back-

after finishing 4 parts- wrap the and around with a band-

all staight-thats good-

curling around itself-thats bad!-
(it means all of tham are in the same diraction)

solution- pin it to you Pj's, and go to sleep like that!(its a punishment for not folowing instructions!)

the next morning AFTER FULLY DRY!-
take out the pins and bands, start seperating each long curl into 4 or 5 parts- TRY TO DO IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN THOGH GENTLY!
when you do it youll know why i said it...hi hi... Cheesy

thats it guys! now you have yourself a tovi curled head!

and this is another wey i like to wear it-
 (already been posted)

anything un-clear?
still got questions?
want to comment on my cool Pj's?

oh and please please please if you do it- than post a photo itll make me smile for unlist a week each!
here-see Grin, smiling is good for ya!

have a great weekend guys!

17  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / yeeee baby!!! *updated-now with a new skirt*zilion pic's on: October 09, 2005 10:11:01 AM
2 new items fresh from the sewing machine!!
i wanted them both for sooooo long!
no one make skirts at that length wich is the perfect length for me (ye ye..chubby legs..) nor short sleeves jackets,
while wearing it together i look like a school girl... but the jacket is mainly for jeans and the skirt for flip-flops..
both fabrics are very expensive made out of wool, but i bought tham as leftovers (the end of the fabric roll)- you get that a lot here.. so instead of 10$ per 1 m. i got it for 3$ per m.

wearing both together-

that jacket caused me a lot of truble.... first the collar (whice i gave up on... if anyone has a pattern for a circle neck collar i will be very greatfull!!)

here it wass at first with collar, no bottens yet-

and here it is with the wrong bottens, no collar-

and here is the skirt-
(being flexible for you guys!-show me the $$)

now for a few pointers-
1.its not noticable here. but i switch the bottens from white (which looked very ameture) to creamy, same color as the fabric DONT MAKE MY MISTAKES!!. good move!
2.i will never improvise another collar agein in my life! ever!
3. I absolutly loooooooooooooooove those puffy sleeves!

if a tutorial is needed-ask awey!
i used a burda pattern for the jacket and changed a litle to my wanting
but i took photoes at times so no prob to post tham-just ask!

the skirt is pattern less. still need ironing and strings triming here and there...

oh and yep!i fineally got the curage- i kissed my blond (dyed...) hair bye bye!!!red rockes!

meanwhile...i made another skirt today
as you can see i like my stitches zig-zaged thank you very much
i like it less than the first one... Wink

20  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / An old blouse homage to 3 litle bottens *mini tutorial on colar added* on: September 16, 2005 07:30:38 AM
so- i bought a bunch of stuff yesterday
among them those buttens
and this morning i woke up to an idea-
i had this crappy old blouse, which i bought at Mango 5 years ago for 25 shekels on a sale (which is about 5 dollars), wearing it only one time in my life....
the main reason was this horrible green line which was every where
the sleeves
the ending
the collar line
taking out the green stuff (which means sewing it all up with a white string...)
shorten the sleeves
added a new neckline (from the sleeves left overs)
made 3 botten holes
and- TA DA
a new shirt!
and ofcaurse-
still A little pale for me
reminding me a doctor.....
any ideas?

plus- if the collarline needs a tutorial-just ask!
