11  Re: Pet Swap: Rodent Revolution 3 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by halblingefrau on: June 15, 2011 08:40:09 PM
Very cool swap package.  Here is (almost) all my loot!

Psychobillybutterfly sent my 3 ferrets:

a large play tube to run in - it's made of a cute pink owl fleece and Juno has already claimed it.
a black terry cloth drying sack - this will come in so handy when my fuzz play in water to cool off in the summer
2 stuffed stash toys - only one is showing because Loki already ran off with the other one
a bag of Stella & Chewy's raw Duck Crunch - Asher tried to steal the bag 3 times already

And for me, a cute little green butterfly clip.  This will be great because I recently got my hair cut short and some of it is always dangling in my face.

Thanks partner!

I signed up!  Such cute little ratties.  I used to have rats and I hope to have them again someday.  Here are a few photos of my holy terrors...

My boys Loki (front) and Asher (back)

And my little girl Juno

13  Re: eReader/Tablet Case Swap GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by halblingefrau on: May 01, 2011 02:42:02 PM
Here's all my loot from honeyd!

I got a small embroidery hoop with vampire teeth and an Anne Rice quote "Evil is a state of mind."  It doesn't photograph well so I didn't get a close up, but I love it and I'm going to hang it in my office.  The dress and cover I will discuss in their close up pictures.

My Sony case.  I LOVE the owl fabric!  It is so cute!

It fits my reader really well.  I also love the creamy interior fabric.  I'm glad to finally have a case for my reader.  There's a very hard board in the case to protect my touch screen.

And she also made a beautiful purple/blueish linen dress for my doll.  It was originally intended for my Elfdoll Sooah, but it ended up fitting my DiM Marianne.  I LOVE the fabric she used.

Thanks honeyd!  You totally spoiled me and I love everything!

14  Re: Make a Purse & Fill It Swap (Round 6) Gallery in The Swap Gallery by halblingefrau on: March 04, 2011 09:53:09 PM
Ok here's all my loot!!!  This was my partner's first swap.  Didn't she do a fantastic job?

She made me a wonderful black corduroy messenger bag.  It's very thick and sturdy, extremely well made.  I also got a sweet cherry blossom notepad and a little padded camera bag that fits my little cam perfectly.  She made me home made truffles... TRUFFLES DUDES! I also got some chocolate, tissues, cute little pens, a compact mirror and an Owl charm (more on that in a bit).

She did the interior lining in patchwork in my favorite colors: deep blues, greens and purples.

Sturdy bag is sturdy.  It stands up on its own b/c of the padding.  I love it.  Also, my flash washed out the bag... the corduroy is as black as the strap in real life.

And the owl charm.  I could die.  I seriously could die.  This is the most badass charm I've ever seen.  I have no idea what I will do with it... maybe just put it in a shadowbox and treasure it.

15  Re: 12 Days of Christmas 2009 GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by halblingefrau on: December 14, 2009 10:37:12 AM
12 Days of Christmas 2009!

We're leaving today to go to family's house so I opened the rest of my gifts.  I haven't had time to take and post photos but I will do that when we get back.

Day 1:
I cried.  Missmoppet found me an entire set of the Laura Ingalls Wilder books.  I have been slowly losing my childhood set as they've been falling apart.  LIW has been my idol since childhood and now I have a new set of the books.  I seriously started tearing up when I opened the package.  You have been such a thoughtful partner, missmoppet.  Thank you so much for an awesome Christmas.

Day 2:
OMG KICK A$$.  An amazing Poppet!!!!!!  I love her!  She's so cute with purple hair and a flower around her eye and omg she looks so much like the one on my wists.  And also the most awesome purse!  It's a denim bag with a tattoo swallow on it.  I LOVE THIS BAG!

Day 3:
3 really warm crochet hats.  These will help keep us warm in the cold Flagstaff winter.  I especially love the blue and white one.

Day 4:
Wists.  I got 2 really awesome canvas art pieces for my house.  One is a really cool celtic design, and the other is a reproduction of a design I had on my wists!  I can't wait to hang them up.  I also got a picture frame/shadow box with little old keys inside it.  I love old keys and anything made with them.  And in addition, a DVD of Little House on the Prairie.  I love Laura Ingalls Wilder!

Day 5:
Star Wars.  I don't know how she did it, but she found 5 really awesome Star Wars figurines.  They're about 9 inches high (maybe a bit taller).  We got Palpatine, Vader, Chewwy, C-3PO, and Greedo (omg awesome).  Husband has decided our Star Wars family is going to live above his computer and has set about to install a shelf just for them.  Wow what a great day!

Day 6:
Brain Slug Hat!!!  A green crocheted hat like a brain slug from Futurama!  And also, shot glasses!  I collect shot glasses so this is so awesome for me.  My favorite is one that says "Don't Bother Me, I'm Crabby" and has a bunch of little crabs all over it.  SO CUTE.

Day 7:
Sewing!  Missmoppet sent me 7 packs of patterns, including some really cool dog bed patterns and adorable stuffed animals.

Day 8:
(image coming later)

Family Entertainment.  2 DVDs (King of Queens, Dodgeball), some books (one of which is a Laura Ingalls type book!!!), some playing cards, and a cute metal playing card case (omg I didn't know they even made these) with a dragon on the front.

Day 9:

Today was a yummy day.  I got a whole bunch of cookie cutters, an awesome chocolate baking book from Hershey's, and an apron with pink polka dots.  The best part is that the apron actually fits/covers me (i'm fat) and I'm so stoked to wear it this weekend while I bake X-mas cookies!  Oh, and the husband took one look at the cookbook and said "Get in the kitchen, I'll do all the other chores."  LOL.

Day 10:

Sadly part of Day 10 didn't make the journey.  There seemed to be these cute plastic tiki head cups but they were in pieces.  Sad  BUT I got really cute bunny slippers (soo good b/c it's cold here) and a really pretty zippered bag, another crochet bag which will come in handy as a WIP bag for knitting, and some more little office supplies.  I really love the pouch, the fabric choice is perfect for me.  Not sure what I'm going to use it for, I have so many ideas.  I might just use it as a wrist purse.  Thanks missmoppet!

Day 11:

Office stuff!  Cool crafty pirate tote bag, and a whole bunch of things like pens and a mini calculator and OMG alligator clippie magnets!!!!

This little guy gets me every time I see him.  I love it!

Can't wait to take this stuff to my office... make it a little more fun!  Thanks so much partner!

Day 12:

(pardon the messy desk)

A very cute light green crocheted bag with a ton of candy.  Candy is always a huge hit in my house, and I love the little bag.  It's the perfect size for toting my breakfast (bagel, banana, string cheese, and drink) to work.  I was wanting something to tote it in, since we recycle our grocery bags for another, less tasty purpose (dogs).  Thank you missmoppet!.

16  My first "from scratch" article of clothing in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects by halblingefrau on: November 15, 2009 10:04:44 PM
Problem: finding a plaid skirt to fit someone as big as me, and finding it in 2 days.  Solution: sew it myself!

This is not only the first piece of clothing I made from scratch, but I also didn't use a pattern.  It fit really well and I got a lot of compliments.  Although I made the skirt for my halloween punk costume, I am going to wear it again.  In fact, I plan on making more skirts now.  It was really easy!

17  Re: Lets See Pics of Tattoos You Designed! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by halblingefrau on: September 14, 2009 01:23:20 PM
I got my first tattoo in July 2007.  I am so in love with it.  Because of where it is, I forget its there and then all of a sudden catch it in a mirror and fall in love with it all over again.  It's a cat symbol that my dad draws on all my birthday and christmas cards.  Almost like a signature.

I'm still deciding on what I want next and where.

18  Re: Spring Has Sprung Pullip/Dal/Taeyang swap gallery in The Swap Gallery by halblingefrau on: June 05, 2008 09:51:43 PM
I finally took a (crappy) photo of my swap loot.  I have such terrible natural light in my apartment.  It's really sad.  Anyway, here is everything except the hoodie.  My hoodie is on a doll downstairs.

Emma took the stuffie and won't put it down.  Delaney stole nearly everything (bracelets, necklace, pants, and new t-shirt).  Ani took the skirt, and it looks so lovely on her.  Thanks so much sheriffkarli!

Gorgeous girls.  I have that same dress Berlin is wearing.  So cute.  It fits my big-titted obitsu well, but I think I'm going to scrap that body and go for something smaller.  It just doesn't look right.  I like the medium breasted ones better, I'm thinkin'.

Without further ado, here is my family:
We have Cami and Sydney on top.
Ani, unnamed Rot, unnamed Haute, unnamed Cornice, unnamed Wolf, and Riley on bottom.

Riley is getting a new name, her's just doesn't fit her.  As for Ani, she is currently being customized.  I replaced her body with the huge-boob obitsu and I'm going to swap her back on her stock (or a type 2, I haven't decided).  She's also waiting for blue acrylic eyes.  I saw a RIDa with blue eye chips and almost died!  As you can see, I have quite a few names to think of.  Wolf started out as Trowa (as in Trowa Barton), but I'm going to customize a Shade for Trowa.  Cornice has changed into a funky retro 70s look (complete with vintage jacket).  I'll have to post more photos later.

"I need physical intimacy.  Yesterday a guy's elbow bumped mine on the bus.  It made my heart skip a beat.  it shouldn't have."

The text in the center is surrounded by pieces of religious themed text and quotes.  The center paper reads:
"I wish I could tell my coworkers to stop trying to "Save me" via email.  It's not gonna work!  Thanks but no thanks!"
