1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Bracelet beaded by my 6 year old son on: May 25, 2006 06:37:04 PM
Tomorrow is the last day of school and he wanted to make hsi teacher something and seriously said Mom can you go buy some colored macaroni so I can make Ms. Black a  bracelet.  I looked at him and said" No way you are going to make her one with glass beads!"  he was shocked when I said he could touch my beads! LOL

SO I put the clasps on it and then used matching beads to make some earrings.  So what do you think he picked out the beads and made the pattern up himself ( he learned patternign in Kindergarten and told me that is what he was going to do, he is so left brained like his father)  Ithink he did a great job.

They ae pink and White Glass Czech beads, the pics are kind of washed out.

I made this myself, but I wish I could claimt he idea as my own, but I saw something similiar to it at Michaels and copied it, but it came out super cute.

The bunnies are sitting on a small Hay bale I wrapped in some floral Garland I had that I got for free and hated and had no use for until now.

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / My sisters 25th birthday gift????? on: March 25, 2006 08:24:05 AM
My sister is turning 25 next week and it is a major milestone for her she is planning a party and everything but she lives in California and I live in Texas, so I want to send her something and I know she wants some perfume from Victorias secret but I want it to be FUN!  For my brothers birthday I sent him a "gourmet"(tongue in cheek) birthday meal in a box since he is in culinary school, I started him off with a small bottle of wine and cheese and crackers ( cheeze whiz and saltines)  Next came the soup since I could not send a salad ( ramen Noodles)  then came the extravagant entree ( spagettios) and then dessert I made him cupcakes.  Oh yeah I forgot I sent a Capri Sun  for his drink.  I made this menu and wrote out elaborate descriptions  that made the food sound awesome, even though it was cheap stuff and he thought it was hilarious and ate it all, even being at a culinary school.  SO I want to do a themed box to her  but a little more refined but still a few tongue in cheek ideas.

Maybe  a dessert box, or candle light bubble bath box,  Or I don't know she is a producers assistant on Laguna Beach  but I want it to be fun.  Any ideas of things to put in her box or ideas of another type box, she is from Texas and moved to CA in December if that helps.
7  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Doers anyone know how to make a sugar for Martini rims? on: February 04, 2006 04:05:03 PM
I am having a martini Sperbowl party tomorrow and Iw as out buying ingredients today for them and saw they had these cute littel kits with sugars to rim your glasses in, but they wanted $12 for them and I already had $60 worth of booze in my hands already.  Anyone have a super simple idea on how to make this, I hae a bunch of extracts adn sugar, ready and waiting and I was wondering if I could color the sugar without it getting clumpy.
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Bubble Bath Swap? on: February 01, 2006 11:01:20 AM
Ok, first and foremost, I don't think I want to organize this swap but I love the idea of participating in a bath swap of some sort and I was kind of hoping if there was enough interest maybe one of you would want to organize it, I am not super opposed to  organizing it, but I have only been in one swap and don't think I am ready to organize one.

About this theme, I think we could do it revolving around a bubble bath, with bubble bath, soaps, candles, handmade towels or whatever you might like to relax in a tub with.  Maybe we could find out  their bathroom theme or if they wanted it specifically tailored towards lets say a baby, or romantic bubble bath or whatever.  You could hand make soaps or towels or just buy the items.

If someone wants ot organize it I would not be oopposed to writing up a questionaire for it.

10  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / 101 things you can do with ground meat???? on: January 09, 2006 04:02:18 PM
OK So I know there are Vegetarians on this board I know you use some type of meat substitute, but I thought it might be neat to have a thread with all the recipes you could make with ground meat, beef, chicken, turkey or whatever.  I am always looking for new ideas.  I have a few recipes, I can add later tonite but I thought I would post this one before I forgot it.
