51  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / i need YOUR opinion! Yes, you! on: September 11, 2005 06:34:19 PM
Edit: Here are the pix, which do you like best?

Didnt mean to scare everyone away with a huge block of text then links  Tongue

Original: AHHHH! Well, so i'm going to enter one of my photos in a contest (no theme or any idea what theyre looking for) and desperately need everyones opinion on which is the best!!! I sent a select few friends and family an e-mail with 7 choices and got it narrowed down to 3...which i then printed at Kinkos and couldnt decide, so asked everyone in the store and got GREAT reasons for each one. And i mean great. One person said she was a photographer and went straight for one and then a rhetoric major had some wonderful symbolism reasons for another...so, yeah, i basically came home more confused than ever...but asking everyone really helped me see that it totally depends on who the judges are and i cant affect that.

So, now what i'm asking for is YOUR opinion. (I dont want to see that anyone looked at this and didnt offer an opinion! Everyones counts!) And if you wanna be real helpful, decide what you like before looking at anyone elses opinion. And if you want to be reaaaaaallllly helpful, ask everyone within reach of your computer which they like, lol.

Here they are...click on the link, then click "Super"(the white borders are just so i could fit the whole picture in and neither they nor the zazzle watermark will be included in the picture..nor will the white writing in the last one)

Thank you!!!
52  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / What kind of fabric are ballroom skirts? on: September 04, 2005 07:26:48 PM
Watching tv shows like "Dancing with the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance", I've been admiring those long skirts that fall right by the feet when standing still, but it must be pretty lightweight, because as soon as they spin, it flys out and you can see it's a pretty wide skirt...

I looked for a picture, but cant find one.

Anyone know what I'm talking about and what kind of fabric it is?
