Haberman's is supposed to be incredible, pretty much fabric-lovers paradise. If you go, you'll have to post and say how it was, i have a 15% off card for there  Grin

Watching tv shows like "Dancing with the Stars" and "So You Think You Can Dance", I've been admiring those long skirts that fall right by the feet when standing still, but it must be pretty lightweight, because as soon as they spin, it flys out and you can see it's a pretty wide skirt...

I looked for a picture, but cant find one.

Anyone know what I'm talking about and what kind of fabric it is?
3027  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: What to make out of these T-shirts? on: September 04, 2005 07:11:20 PM
i've redone several tshirts to make them cuter...Dont have any pix of them at the moment, but regardless of what you decide to do with them, you'll probably want to turn them inside out, lay a shirt you like the fit of (also inside out) on top, pin along the outside and sew. It's the easiest way to make them fit like you want, give them a cute shape and a great starting place.
3028  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: THE GENERIC BOYFRIEND GIFT THREAD: A How-To! on: September 04, 2005 06:58:21 PM
-SURPRISE HIM! Decorate the INSIDE of his locker, leave him surprise notes in his school books or in his book bag or in his CD player or slip one in his back pocket..

For my boyfriend's birthday I got a bunch of balloons, stuffed notes inside them(good memories, random thoughts, parts of instant messager conversations we've had) then blew them up, drove to his house at midnight and filled his jeep with 'em. Needless to say, he was quite surprised the next morning!

If you try this idea, I definitely reccomend tying the balloons together in strings of 10 or so with some gift ribbon..makes them much easier for you to put in the car and for him to take out! Plus, the idea only worked for me because i knew he doesn't lock his car.  The balloons take a while to blow up, but it's fun.
