1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / A tree in my living room on: March 05, 2011 04:35:15 PM
I recently painted a tree in my living room! I have been wanting to for so long! I took a big empty wall, a projector, and went for it!

What do you think?

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Decoupaged ribbon box! on: August 23, 2009 03:36:41 PM
I needed a cute and cheap way to store my ribbons. I used a sturdy box and a knitting needle for is! Just stuff I had around the craft room. I decoupaged the lid and punched holes for the ribbon to go through. This was my inspiration for it -->http://scrapbooking.about.com/od/gettingorganized/ss/ribbonbox.htm

Thanks for looking!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Frugal craft room redo! on: August 23, 2009 03:19:29 PM

I printed these embroidery floss bobbins from http://craftchi.com/blog/?p=610 and taped them to some manila folder pieces. This works great for me because I don't have a very large floss collection.

And then I put them in an old sewing box that I was no longer using to store them

This is the ribbon storage box that I made! I had a nice sturdy box that some Christmas cards came in. I decoupaged the top and used a knitting needle to hang the ribbon on. More info here --> http://scrapbooking.about.com/od/gettingorganized/ss/ribbonbox.htm

My sewing cabinet that I found for free on Craigslist. I love it because it all folds up.

Pegboard storage inside of my sewing cabinet that I use for scissors and rulers.

My fabric stash semi-organized. I really want a new shelving unit and some board organizers.

My favorite item in my craft room; my antique chest of drawers. I want to paint i though.

My ceiling is slanted and I didn't want to paint. So I hung up some fabric instead!

So that's pretty much it for now. I think I spent under $10 because I used things I had laying around. I want to do lots more to it! What do you think?
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Basket liners for changing table on: April 19, 2009 08:01:52 PM
I looked high and low for a good/easy basket liner tutorial online and it actually took me a while. I found a few that were confusing and the liners came out horrible when I tried them. So I just wanted to share the really easy tutorial I finally found.

I made basket liners for some vintage baskets I got for my baby's changing table and they were super easy!

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Basket liners for changing table on: April 19, 2009 10:01:16 AM
Here is another project that I have been working on for my baby boy. I got ahold of some really cool vintage baskets from my mother-in-law for my changing table but they had no liners.

I used a tutorial found here ---> http://www.curbly.com/DIY-Maven/posts/5284-Curbly-Video-Podcast-How-to-Sew-Basket-Liners-Without-a-Pattern-

It was super easy for the liners and then I wrapped the baskets with some ribbon to match it to my other projects.

Here is another project to match my black and white crib set.

This pattern is included in the McCalls 5285 pattern.

Hey guys, this is my first post ever on here!

Just thought I would share the projects I have been working on while waiting for my baby boy to get here.

I don't like traditional baby crib sets and specialty ones online are way too expensive, so I made my own. I used McCalls pattern 5285.
